Hi - my real name's Alastair and although I was once quite a devotee to these boards it's been a number of years since my regularity. I'm hoping to get back into the discussions now that my MA is winding down as I'll need some intellectual workouts while in what those who are inclined to do so call 'the real world' (how is anything else any less real?).
I'm into political philosophy but my background is Continental Philosophy - specifically Kant, Hegel, Nietzsche, Heidegger and Foucault (although I'm currently reading Wittgenstein and Adorno). I'm also into questions about religion, hermeneutics and the general rethinking of the mundane/everyday. Feel free to PM me if you want to pick me up on anything specific. Meanwhile don't you dare let anything that could be thought about slip through the net...
