the accumulated wealth of humanity

Is inequality itself the problem? Is inequality in any measure necessarily problematic? No matter how small?

When one is taking from "another" what is needed, then that is an issue.Flannel Jesus wrote: ↑Wed Feb 22, 2023 6:23 pm Is inequality itself the problem? Is inequality in any measure necessarily problematic? No matter how small?

This is a really good question. Turning off me supersensitivity mode, I'd say the numbers 9 and 1 drive the point home, checkmate sucker!
Dial up sensitivity and I'm not sure as I was. Checkmate my ass!!
And I haven't even seen, forget about checkin', what the all the colorful buttons my subconscious told me about do.

Correct.
But why is wealth inequality a "problem"? And what do you recommend be done to fix it?
[/quote]
Because reciprocity is the foundation of civilization. A legitimate government must care for the good of every individual, and that requires not letting wealth accumulate for any unearned reason. No modern society has even fundamental legitimacy worked out. You cannot fix a broken system with its own broken tools. Only revolution is an alternative to Doom!
