George Thorogood & The Destroyers - Bad To The Bone

Now the day I was born
The nurses all gathered 'round
And they gazed in wide wonder
At the joy they had found
The head nurse spoke up
Said, "Leave this one alone"
She could tell right away
That I was bad to the bone

Re: Music
This is a great spiritual song.
It doesn’t give answers.
It just says why folks won’t let go of what they've got.
The principle applies to concepts, too. And really, why would you give up those concepts you've earned? After all, they got you this far.
But, someday you will give them up. Do it sooner than later and see what's new.

Re: Music
Today’s toons should play the old tunes to teach what’s good.

Wichita Lineman - Jimmy Webb (HQ)

Comment: Glen Campbell's polished version is the iconic sound of this tune. The composer's version, this link, includes the intent of the words, the layers of meaning. It's so much better even though not so polished. His first piano notes lead to a courageous, exposed, vulnerable reaching and holding the high note, and after that you're on his side.
