More like, welcome to the future workforce.

What's this got to do with applied ethics?

Well in order to understand what this video has to do with ethics you would have to think philosophically.

You would have to become a philosopher. At least for a few minutes.

Are you willing to try that?

Not until you can tell me what the ethical point was you were trying to make? And specifically what makes it applied ethics rather than just ethics?

Although at a guess its some kind of phantasmagorical idea about the matrix or I-Robot and how our 'doom' and enslavement is about to begin.

As of late I have been viewing you as a student of mine.

A rambunctious student.

For months now you have been sincerely asking me questions about philosophy and, I believe, I have answered and exceeded your wildest expectations. In each post of every thread you have worked to understand and eventually accepted all of my explanations.

I must now ask something of you.

Without gibberish or offending tone answer me one question, Do you think you are ready to begin to become a philosopher?

Have you? How quaint.

You've pretty well lived up to experience and expectation, I'll give you that.
I must now ask something of you.

Do you think you're the one to ask that question? But tell me what you think a "philosopher" is?
Do you think you are ready to begin to become a philosopher?
I think you've already said this? Who're you talking too?

Deep.

But pretty much your usual evasive response.

Hi Chris.

Try the link again.

I just used it.

The video is of a mechanical bird.

Quite amazing.

Take care.

The original link (i.e. the one at the start of the thread) has been removed.

It's the problem of relying on other people's videos or pictures: if they remove them you've been silenced.
