Assertions are Empty
Assertions are Empty
Assertion creation is not subject to any further creation without referring back to an inherently empty assertion.
Re: Assertions are Empty
Isn't "an empty assertion" a contradiction? Can an assertion be an assertion, if it has no content? Or do you mean an assertion unsupported by evidence? Or do you mean an assertion which cannot be falsified under any conceivable circumstance, like "1 = 1"?
Re: Assertions are Empty
Content implies there is a vessel - can a vessel ever be separated from it's content. Both the vessel and the content of the vessel are ever and never - one and the same reality. Where's the contradiction, except in this conception?

Without empty assertions there could be no virtue signaling.

Re: Assertions are Empty
There is always here and not there. Here is never without here, as in not here but there...here is always right here NOW.
The words ''Without empty assertions there could be no virtue signaling.'' is an empty assertion.
Re: Assertions are Empty
Truth does not demand coulds or shoulds or proof. Truth is absolutely true. Absolute truth makes no demand for clarification. Only uncertainty demands clarification, no such thing as uncertainty, just absolute certain truth.

Re: Assertions are Empty
This statement is incoherent.
And your heading is dubious; refuted with a single assertion with content.
Assert that the sun is bright.
How is that inherently empty?
Re: Assertions are Empty
Because the brightness of the sun cannot be observed without another context through which it contrasts (the sky or ground in this case). If all you see is the brightness of the sun, without comparison to anything else, then you are effectively looking at nothing as without contrast no form occurs.
If is like seeing a circle without the inner or outerspace; it would no longer appear as a circle but a boundless field.

And the circle is nothing more than an image of the imageless.
Of course the knowledge of the inner and outerspace would have to be all about the circle. For one very good reason.
