all of my writings come from...

Post by Peter Kropotkin »

virtually all of my writing come from one of three questions...

One: What am I to do?

Two: What can I believe in?

Three: What can I know?

and even at my age, I still can't tell what I am supposed to know,
do or believe in..

The Kantian questions are at the heart of my own philosophy....
What am I to do? For whom do I work for? god, man, history,
country, family, isms? and to which ism am I supposed to take
the knee for? I am an American who doesn't believe in the faiths
of America, god, country and guns....

and is my every action directed toward the state, the government,
the society, mankind, god, or myself? And I get very mixed messages
on which value/values are supposed to the values I am to live for,
and if need be, die for...take the faith of guns... this belief is supposed
to represent freedom of actions...and yet, I hold that guns are only
going to represent violence and war.. nothing more... you can have
freedom and liberty while going without a gun... yet, the faithful
believe that only by holding onto guns, can we be free...

apparently, shooting a classroom of children is supposed to be a sign
of how free we are.... guns are not the answers, they are the problem,
at least part of the American problem... but once again, the question becomes,
what am I supposed to do?

What am I to believe/hope for... is another question....
the hopes and beliefs I see, are not based on anything other
than faith..... the faith in America is based on lies....
We no longer have the moral authority to speak out about
the moral failings of the world... for we are moral failings
personified...from the President on down, to hold to a ''moral truth''
is to hold that truth regardless of the power, wealth, titles or
material possessions one is bribed with to deny that moral truth....
a moral truth can only be relinquished in the eyes of another moral truth...
nothing else.. nothing can overcome a moral truth...
but today, millions with overthrow moral truths for a dime...
America itself will happily overthrow a moral truth for a pittance...
or look at how cheap one can buy a US congressman...
for a few bucks, a congressman will happily sell their own
grandmother down the river.. so, given this, what belief
can we hold to be true and worth following?

and what can we know? a youth of 20 knows everything...
a man of 65 knows nothing... even after and especially
after a lifetime of experience....
a youth of 20 can know the truth ''a priori'' but after
experience, that truth comes into question...

come on Kropotkin, be like everyone else and tell us what to believe in,
in what to live for and die for....
but I am a man of 65, who after a lifetime of experience, can't tell you
anything...

come on Kropotkin, what good are you if you can't answer anything?

I wonder about that every single day...

Whatever you want to do.

Absolutely ANY thing.

Again, absolutely ANY thing.

Which is just the result of an abusive upbringing.
