Natural music
Natural music
I believe that I can prove that the music of electronic musical instruments, electric guitars, is not art, but an illusion of art. This illusion is global and ruins true art. Natural music remained almost exclusively in classical music.
I suggest putting natural music in this topic.
To begin with, I put an Israeli song on words from the Tanakh performed by an Indonesian ensemble. They sing in the original language of the Tanakh, Hebrew, and the translation is in English, -
"Is Ephraim my dear son? is he a pleasant child? for since I spake against him, I do earnestly remember him still: therefore my bowels are troubled for him; I will surely have mercy upon him, saith the LORD."
(Jeremiah 31:20)

Re: Natural music
Please define 'music'.
Re: Natural music
Music is a genre of art. Art, at a minimum, is an expression of the human soul.
Re: Natural music
Well I would take Jimi Hendrix in preference to that cacophony any day.Janoah wrote: ↑Sun Dec 31, 2023 1:09 am I believe that I can prove that the music of electronic musical instruments, electric guitars, is not art, but an illusion of art. Re: Natural music
It sounds like just a few very basic chord progressions in E minor repeated over and over. Nothing wrong with that. Yes. It's music.
Re: Natural music
Please, put only natural music in this topic.
By the way, the Beatles also have natural music, Yesterday,

Re: Natural music
So to you, this is not music?
Re: Natural music
The sounds of an electric guitar are a “pleasant” illusion of art. The illusion is global, if they sang not with an electric guitar, but with natural musical instruments, then the number of views of the video would be tens, hundreds of times less.
Re: Natural music
By the way, for Hendrix’s physical exercises, - a maximum of one chord was required, - D-sharp minor, but let’s not talk about sad things.vegetariantaxidermy wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2024 2:21 am It sounds like just a few very basic chord progressions in E minor repeated over and over. Re: Natural music
Why do you care what music other people prefer, and who do you think you are to be able to say what is and isn't "art"?

Re: Natural music
I wasn't criticising. Basic chord progressions are very pleasing to the human ear and are the building blocks for the greatest and most complex music every written. Do you have a link to Hendrix's D# minor chord exercises? That would be D# F# and A#. Must be particularly useful to a rock guitarist, of which I'm not.Janoah wrote: ↑Fri Jan 05, 2024 3:45 pmBy the way, for Hendrix’s physical exercises, - a maximum of one chord was required, - D-sharp minor, but let’s not talk about sad things.vegetariantaxidermy wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2024 2:21 am It sounds like just a few very basic chord progressions in E minor repeated over and over.
