The Contradiction of Identity

Post by Eodnhoj7 »

LNC must be described as (A=A)=/=(-A=-A) considering all variables are subject to LI. However this leads to a contradiction as LI (A=A) is not equivalent to LI (-A=-A).

From another perspective LI must be equivalent to LI and can be expressed as (A=A)=(-A=-A). However this reduces to A=-A which in turn contradicts LNC.

Unfortunately we must lose something to gain something. At the end of the day, we're screwed, oui?

LiNk must be described as sausage

link doesn't contradict patty which is also composed of noncontradictory pork

have we now found the missing link?

The link stands apart from the patty because of their forms.

But the term "sausage" is surely problematic. What about beef sausages? Chicken sausages? Come to that, the Prussian statesman Otto von Bismarck said that "peace treaties are like sausages; you don't want to know how they are made". Does this mean that "sausage" must remain an indefinable entity, like "The Unknown God"?

You must mean equivalence rather than identity.

Identity is the experience of the organism's constitution in relation to its context/environment, it's conditioning is its identity.

A link exists because of its contrast to the patty and vice-versa. It is this contrast that necessitates one thing standing apart from another thus a contradiction. Identity, because of contrast (i.e. 'a standing apart'), requires contradiction.

The law of identity is an act of equivalence, but from your perspective you do have a point (not all identity requires equivalence).

Experience is a context thus we are left with a revolving wheel of contexts when dealing with identity. Which came first the organism or the inorganic? I would say neither...but that is me.
