1. Take a piecea wire. Make sure it's insulating plastic sheath is intact [to avoid fatal electrocution]

2. Get yourself a 1.5V AA battery [Harmless? Not if you have an arrhythmia or a pacemaker. So be careful]

3. Connect one end of the wire to the negative pole and the other end of the wire to the positive pole [use insulated gloves to avoid electrocution]

4. Voila, you have a mind!!

... a mind even a child can build, a mind that'll cost you a billionth of what OpenAI has spent on ChatGPT.

Explanation: Minds, per current (pun unintended) science, are just (bio)electricity (action potentials, neurons, yada yada yada).

Congratulations!! You have successfully built your very own mind!!!

P. S. You could use a small bulb to sex things up. Get creative!

😊

The good question award goes to Imp.

I suppose the point, unintended, is that, from a materialistic point of view, minds are child's play. The story of the accidental battery. Wanna write it?

How to make a mind in five simple steps.

Step 1: Grab 3Ib of empty space from empty space.

Step 2: Put it all in a mixing bowl, and stir well.

Step 3: See that after a short period of serious concentrated contemplation, focusing all you're undivided attention and energy that you can possibly muster on you're own creation until you begin to discover that the ingredients for the recipe never existed. And that it was all just one big imagined con you played on yourself.

Step 4: Lose you're mind, the one you thought you had, but never did.

Step 5: LOL very loudly, until dead.

There's a short cut....

1. Decide to follow Agent Smith's suggestion of creating a mind.
2. Notice that you experienced yourself making a decision, that you have this experience.
3. Call this a mental phenomenon
4. Don't get out of your chair. Don't order anything (like a battery). Don't do anything else.
5. Just enjoy noticing your own mind in action.
