to grok Everything

Everything means all distinguished patterns.

Those only exist in minds. A Thing is a pattern with a purpose.

The purpose is either danger/avoid or interest/approach.

All knowledge, wisdom, and understanding is for the purpose of actionable certainty toward changing the world in one of those two ways.

All things are a set of attributes and boundary conditions that align with our predictions about how our interactions will cause a change. In other words, we sense the edges, weight, color, likeability.. of things in order to manipulate them.

No, everything means all-there-is, of which distinguished patterns are the subset that we can know about. Although I guess this depends a lot on whether one takes a more realist or anti-realist basic stance.

Every thing refers to all that exists, but we can only know it exists if it comes into our experience, so again that dichotomy is functionally irrelevant.

Exactly, functionally
