Someone should tell them they need to eat the food, unless you are talking about aged plants, of course.
Obesity and Gender

What utter bollocks.simplicity wrote: ↑Wed Mar 02, 2022 9:22 pm It is no secret that women seem to take a particular fancy to eating. Many might consider such bordering on the obsessive [after all, if there were only men in the world, how many restaurants, pastry, candy, and coffee shops would there be? ].
It's time to grow-up folks and start acting like responsible adults.
Re: Obesity and Gender
I remember an Italian thriller on TV, an aged Italian man was moaning that he cannot eat a juicy orange any more. (Because he would harm himself, this was the implied meaning.)
I think somewhere in the Republic an aged man complains about the same thing. That he cannot eat and enjoy like he used to.
When your organs grow older or even weary after so many years of hard work they do not process the food properly so you have to be careful what you can eat at all.
There is a contemptuous saying in Italian, a slight to an elderly person: Broglia ti un brodo. = Cook yourself a chicken soup.
Because an elderly person needs delicate and nourishing food like a sick person.
