If finance is about the infinite, is finance self-destructive, if it forces identities on its applicants?

If finance is about infinity, ergo the American dream, is finance self-destructive, if finance is about needing its applicants to have identities, thus, having a limited growth, because having the identity limits the growth to infinity?
