This is my own definition of materialism. Materialism is the exclusive or primary concern for the excessive or even moderate accumulation or just even maintenance of money, possessions, or both. What do you think?

Firstly, this is your second post offering a definition; and secondly, the first was better!

First, you were defining an object - a human being; perhaps as a basis for a philosophical argument.

Materialism as a philosophy has nothing to do with the accumulation, or maintenance of money or possessions.
