'Except' the truth? Is that really what the little inspirational meme writer intended to say?

Probably yes.

It depends how the 'meme' is interpreted.

To me personally, it is saying...( stop wasting time on other peoples truths, except your own )

Although, it could be seen to be misleading, as the word ''except'' is similar to ''accept'' ..but it's just a matter of tweaking things around so that they make sense. Sense is ususally lurking somewhere, for those who see it.

People from all walk of life have their own lingo, and way of speaking anyway, so it's usually up to you to decipher what you want from the quote.
