Caveats
Perhaps the most important element in ethical discourse is the Caveat, directed at simple values.
Every act is directed to the creation of one form of society or another.
Those who talk about Freedom, for instance, must have an implicit social purpose.
We may well see this in recent events re President Trump.
Free speech is a term that requires caveats, indicating whether this means polite discussion for social good, or the expression of individual ego, or irrational bigotry.
Binary ethics are extremely dangerous.
