One cannot take responsibility. Either you have meaningful control + duty or you do not. Meaningful control without duty (officially designated power) is just control, not responsibility. Duty without meaningful control is sadistic slavery. Duty is an inherent part of responsibility and it's not something you can choose your way into or out of. Also, meaningful control is often false or illusory.
