A "Philosophy in Pubs" Philosophy Discussion group meets in The Dove in Ipswich, Suffolk, the first Tuesday of every month.
As it happens today (as of posting, obviously) is the first Tuesday of the month, and this evening we are discussing "How Educated does the electorate need to be for a democracy to function?"
With UKIP at 44% in the Eastern polls...

... and UKIP supporters as also the least educated voters...

Are we losing our minds?

Re: Ipswich Suffolk
That sounds like a nice impartial, well-balanced premise for a discussion of political philosophy!
Philosophy Now magazine started in Ipswich and was based there for some years. I often wished that there was a philosophy discussion group in Ipswich, and if I was still living there, I'd certainly come along. Good luck with your pub philosophy group.
