lol the very first british citizen approached by the CNN reporter on the queens failing health (this was earlier) happened to be someone who wasn't a fan of the monarchy... implying at one point that it didn't really matter that a queen wuz dying, but that an old person wuz dying in general. she made it clear that that wuz the extent of her sympathy, and even got started on the country's history of colonialism etc. until the CNN guy cut her off to stop the overwhelming anticlimax happening; here he is at the gates of the palace of the dying queen, wanting to briefly interview a british woman and ask what her thoughts are, etc., and the woman goes off on the monarchy and how much the hates it. lol. lol. lol.

here's why this song is so great. if you had to write a groove that best captured yhe spirit of the progressive jazz fusion of the early mid sixties, it would sound exactly like that. but see frank is doing a parody of that sound, which means he's doing better than those who are serious about it, at writing and playing it, at doing it and doing it well. clearly this silly song has as its intent a mockery of early sixties conservative culture. but I think there's also some subtle enjoyment in making fun of the generic sixites groove by creating a perfect rendition of it.
Even the guitar filters he uses are true to the theme. Its hilarious.

you know that friend that always has like closets full of boxed vinyl records of obscure 60s-70s rock bands that were never that popular but always had the jamminest music? that's what Warren wuz, the guy who would make me mixed tapes with twenty different bands that i never even heard of. He wuz like the Oracle of prog rock in my then social group.
