In that circumstance: they'd be plottin' to kill the warden and his guards. If Hell is all you got: overthrow the Devil.
Well that's all humans have ever done since time immemorial is kill each other in wars (both physical, and psychological warfare )

When human gets bored they start killing each other, it's just the nature of the beast.

Horrific place, life on earth.

I'm not just making this up, I'm literally reporting what I am observing directly.

Most young people today who have not experienced the horror of the last two world wars would mostly glare at their mobile phones than look at the actual truth of reality.

Bummer. From whence came inspirational slave music, or is that a tale?

In other words, while within the "horrors" of life, how is it philosophically possible for miserable chattel slaves to create uplifting expressions of spirit? Is it through delusion? Is it delusional to assume they even did that?

How is it that folks who have it so much better than miserable slaves, are more miserable than slaves? Is it through delusion?

Reading the speeches of Frederick Douglass (abolitionist) certainly gives one an appreciation for how the attention-span of readers has been altered by time. Hemingway's style and influence on mass-media-makers had a hand in that.

Walker,

How is it that folks who have it so much better than miserable slaves, are more miserable than slaves?

It's easier to be defiant (and isn't that really what hope is?) when the obstacle or enemy is obvious.

The spiritual-singin' slave had no doubts about his circumstance: he knew his obstacle and enemy.

It seems you have failed to use the quote system, attributing words to yourself that were those of others.

Seeing as you create an ill-defined world, then rather than dialogue indulge a private need to abuse the courtesy of questions by demanding that folks reason to conclusions within that ill-defined world of your creation, then in order to take that first step on the Yellow Brick Road (YBR,) Dorothy, towards the heady atmosphere of principles, it becomes incumbent upon you to define the word “slave,” a rather crucial word that appears within your recent weak presentation, a word that you carelessly toss around like an enthusiastic nihilist with a need to share nothingness.

Why this need? Well, once the boundary between itch and scratch has been crossed via action of posting words, it's so that reasonable folks can begin making philosophical headway from the sparse mutterings of a philosophical lout loitering on troll frequency. Since it’s well-known on the Einstein frequency that feeling the future is more in line with predictions of inevitability linked to probabilities of conditions, ripening in time, past performance indicates this is where a bossy proclivity, oft’ manifested as suggestions for irritating folks to (fuck off), begins to manifest. However, if you give it some consideration, you will likely agree that there is always the hope for evolution within one lifetime.

In other words, Sculptor is answering the second, err, make that the third question, with a foggy ... Yes.

Gosh unusually verbose. But meaingless as usual.
Not even word salad, just a long lit of barely connected ideas.

I rarely read your posts as they do not often contain anything worth reading.
But I am glad you have acknowledged your failings. Shame you have been at it for so long without learning how to do it properly.
