Great job Bill, You're the man!
And I'm man enough to say that it made me cry. Because I've been made aware of their slaughter for their body parts.

--------------------------------------------
Not pointed at anyone, but for everyone:
--------------------------------------------
The mountain gorilla has a special place in my heart. But for me it doesn't stop there, as all life is just as precious. No matter what the truth of the cosmos this life is a miracle and each and every human should be thankful each and every day for their experience of it.

So are us humans really better than them? Better is an ambiguous word, what does it mean to you. When you (meaning anyone but me, because I for one, know better) feel like killing something for some selfish reason in the face of possible alternatives, do us all a favor and kill yourself instead, you'll be doing all us that cherish life in an infinite cosmos a terrific favor! You'll actually be doing yourself a favor as well, as you'll actually get a chance to kill something. The one something that in fact is the only thing you have a right to needlessly kill; YOU!.

Although the Zanesville, Ohio (U.S.), authorities apparently did the best job they could manage with the stray, dangerous, personal-zoo animals, given the unfortunate circumstances, the four tranquilizing-dart guns to which they had access were too few and, from reading the full story, were too impotent in chemistry to be of any use at all in the matter. Perhaps now is the time for American (and Canadian, as well) animal-control officials to be equipped with adequate tranquilizing-dart gun numbers and especially tranquilizer strength to procure swiftness and lengthy unconsciousness, so that wild/dangerous animals on the loose in residential areas can be safely subdued and relocated to wherever on Earth, instead of being slaughtered en masse. ...
Why not just ban this ridiculous idea of "personal-zoo animals"!?

This statement and derivatives thereof was used in the United States by the far right as a rallying cry against terrorists or Muslims in general.

"They hate our freedom."
-George W. Bush, March 18, 2002

"They hate our freedoms."
-John McCain, January 5, 2008

The irony of that sentiment was not lost as America passed legislation after legislation to actually restrict freedoms of United States citizens in the name of freedom.

Who do you think it is Bill?

The poacher who can get relatively vast sums to feed himself and his relatives by selling the horn for 'medicine'?

The oriental who consumes it in the belief that the old herbal remedies are effective?

The gamekeepers who insure that the poacher cannot hang around long enough to carve-up the carcass?

The weapons manufacturers who make it all possible?

The westerners who pressured for the national game-parks?

Or are you just saying man because like most animals kills animals? How are your steaks and hamburgers?

I can't believe that you said all that and still said nothing. Or I should say you missed the actual culprit, while you stated the actual culprit.

Selfish Humans! that are so blinded by immediate self satisfaction that they can't see that the end game of it all, shall be because of it all, thus ultimately unselfishly negating their immediate selfishness. The Human animal is a fool and is not the master of his/her domain. Their psychological pathology is, and it shall be their undoing! Unless of course they get a clue.

Thanks Bill!

And by the way, you're a good man for your stance on this issue! I would have rather not seen that rhino image, but I also understand that it helped you make your point.

May I remind you, that this is not the first time I've commented in this thread! I read your statement, as quoted above, as if it indicated, that you believed, that I was participating for the very first time here.
