Motive and opportunity
Motive and opportunity
I'm not sure we ever own much of anything.
Our lives and characters are a result of all kinds of influences that mold us and/or distort us -- and "our thinking" may not even be our own as much as a collective of one influence or another.
Our liberty is also based on all kinds of influence and circumstances. We can try to be as free-thinking and free-acting as possible, but we are still products of our environments.
And property...well, to me it seems that we pretty much rent or borrow all that we temporarily acquire. And to be dependent on anything could be seen as being OWNED BY IT. Our thoughts and actions are affected by the things we covet. We build stories around them: our need for them, our "right" to them, our justifications for protecting them, etc.
As a result, we humans end up with giant clashes of stories! And that's all they are.

”Jeffrey Epstein had a portrait of former President Bill Clinton wearing Monica Lewinsky’s infamous blue dress while lounging in a chair in the Oval Office.”
How cynical, but perhaps a feather in his cap in some quarters.
“According to reports, Epstein committed suicide, however, many close to him fear he was murdered.”
Those close to Epstein would likely have a more evidence-based sense of his state of mind than speculating spit-ballers. Reports also say that his private island was wired up for video and he recorded virtually every move of his guests. Why would he, or anyone, do that? Most likely to use for extortion, given the influence of his guests.
Certainly pertains to motive for the murder that his close associates suspect.

The hair bone's connected to the head bone,
The head bone's connected to the neck bone,
The neck bone's connected to the hyoid bone,
Suicide rarely breaks the hyoid bone.
What happened to all the videos in Epstein's collection?

Re: Motive and opportunity
Therefore, only one thing is truly important. Every thing else, contrary to popular belief, is of no real concern.
Re: Motive and opportunity
Inference does not equate to no real concern.
I Am is true, refers to certainty.
I Am is not subject to probability.
Inference, even what you infer from direct sensory experience, is subject to probability.
Re: Motive and opportunity
I totally agree.
That is exactly how I understood it from what you said previously.
If only the 'I am' is true, then that is the only one thing that is truly important. Therefore, every thing else is not really that important, and so also of no real concern.
Re: Motive and opportunity
Both concern and degree of importance are inferences which are uncertain and exist only in relationship to the certainty of, I Am.

Re: Motive and opportunity
A utuber 'Shaun Attwood' covers the Epstein thang rather well. When the likes of Prince Andrew are on vid among many other 'elites', yeah u aint gonna exist for much longer.
This ex cop apparently was issued all the video material which he has encrypted and is sitting on servers about the place to ensure his own safety - if he gets topped - the files will be decrypted and released.

Interesting article. Gates obviously wants to set the record straight.
