Why is the George Michael phenomena such that it is? I will tell you. Because he was one of the first times we ever saw a terminal five o'clock shadow on a guy in pop who was either gay or bi. To do this, you have to be light as a feather. This is the deception. There is no pounding out notes here. You don't actually stomp your feet. Your tapping the ball of your foot as delicately as a balerina dancer on the peddle and letting the head and/or spring (in the case of the left peddle) give the peddle back to you. You're using the bounce-back. There's a sweet spot you gotta find between your foot force and the reactive force of the bounce back. It's difficult as hell.
