Well yes. There is absolutely NO benefit on looking at the world as a fucked up shithole. Humans had it a LOT worse before washing machines and electric dildos.

Will you describe to the readers, here, who and/or what this 'sage' thing even is, exactly?

Now, 'you' supposedly a d allegedly own or have some thing called a 'soul', which 'you' have absolutely no idea when 'it' supposedly 'first existed', but do 'you' even know when 'you' 'first existed'? In fact do 'you' even know who and what 'you' are, exactly?

Thing is, there have ALWAYS been people blabbing on about the end of this and that - so what? What's the point of worrying about it?

How long have 'you' actually existed for, exactly, to know what has ALWAYS been happening and occuring, {with the always word capitalize?

LIFE IS GOOD...if you've got your health and some dosh to have a little holiday occasionally. Man's knowledge is now at our fingertips, so no excuse to be bored and not work out how to blow up a tree or have fun some other way..

My least favourite science at school was biology, mainly because of big names and exams were a daft memory test. I've been watching a utuber Chubbyemu - learnt how to comprehend those big names, bloody latin mainly - it starts to make sense.

Well, I'm 44 years old. My parents are in their late 70s. My parents and I have always been very close. I lost my grandmother almost 10 years back. Of course she was suffering from alzeimers for many years so it was a slow loss, not so abrupt as the death of a close relative could be. Now I'm suffering from sleep apnea and my memory isn't all that great anymore. When I think of my own end being not too far off I really start to think of what was it all about? Life seems so incredibly short from my perspective right now. If we are simply a "flash in the pan" so to speak what difference does any of this really make. Maybe I'm just in a meloncholy mood right now. But inevitable death puts everything in an all new perspective for me.

I'm facing a life decision of continuing my philosophy education. It will be a big undertaking going back to school (albeit online classes). I sort of wonder to myself why I should even put forth the effort? I'm just going to die someday anyway. What's worse is I'll probably forget everything I learn within a few months anyway. What difference does it make how educated or uneducated I am? What difference does it make if I try to improve my life? There isn't that much more to go anyway. It seems like a wasted effort, all in vain. Yeah, more education will make me more "marketable". Is that what it's all about? Just doing what it takes to stay alive and prosperous a little longer. How depressing it all seems right now.

If life was really meaningless than it would not bother you that meaninglessness is the case of existence as pain is meaningful for it drives awareness to a deeper depth of simplicity to a resolute acceptance of one's course.

Pain is how life directs one. Direction is meaning.

In other terms, you actually find something about existence meaningful otherwise you would not suffer from the desire for meaning. Pain wakes one up from dreaming.
