The artist likely feels that it's pretty good, for a variety of possible reasons, perhaps including an anti-royal intent.

Could also be a case of DEI trumping talent and training because, who defines good?

Anyone with eyes? For a start it doesn't look anything like her. Her posture is weird. It says 'strength and dignity' yet she looks all hunched up and anything 'but' strong. There is nothing about it that's pleasing to the eye or that captures the essence of the subject. It's as flat and two dimensional as it could possibly be. There's next to no technical skill displayed here. The material of the dress just looks like paint ditto her hair and skin.

It looks like someone who's been exposed to ultraviolet radiation while wearing goggles.

Did Bob Ross ever do any portrait work?

Animation is in the diagonals. The two diagonals in this draw the eye, and they're not by accident. Actually, three. Sash, arms, and gown creases.

_______

They (the royal family) also commissioned a portrait of the queen before she died...

And it only cost the British taxpayers a mere hundred thousand pounds.

Why has she got a birthday cake on her head?

Well, if you must know, knave, her real crown was in the wash bin, so she improvised.

Oh, and rumor has it that the portrait was painted the day after she sat in on keyboards for the Nuclear Power Trio...

Bob Ross could have painted his own hair.

Aren't Englishmen now the minority in England? The world is coming to anti-Royal cultural memes due to fashionable disapproval of the colonialism that back in the old days of brick and mortar took modern infrastructures to the hinterlands, in exchange for their treasures.

Yes, the so called "intellectuals" think everyone should sit back and do nothing, all religions are equally daft and equally evil. The monarchy represent WHITE supremacy and we should all be ashamed of our British Empire.

I hope they went to Scouts and learned how to read a compass, they'll soon need to see which way is likely to point to Mecca for bending down to the arsehole in front of them for a prayer to the ultimate arsehole, Allah.

An older portrait of the Brandons after a Philadelphia speech.

So, why all the red? Who is at the controls?

I once read somewhere that the Democrats assigned red for Republicans (red states, blue states) because red is also associated with totalitarianism, e.g., Red China, Soviet propaganda posters.
