Islam per se cannot be reformed.
The Constitution of Islam is within the Quran sent by God.
What is from God in the Quran is immutable.
Only God can change it.
As such, Islam as it is cannot be reformed at all.

Sex with 0-8 [in the Hadith] is not stipulated in the Quran.
However the Quran has other terrible negatives toward the non-believer that cannot be changed by humans.
