the answer to the question has philosophy lost its way

Post by Peter Kropotkin »

as I have reflected on this issue, it seems to me that
philosophy is still philosophy... the philosophical matters
that Plato and Descartes and Spinoza and Kant and Heidegger,
engaged in, are still there...they haven't change..

but we have changed...we are so engaged in the trivial matters of
existence, of the pursuit of the trinkets of existence, of seeking
out money, titles, fame, power and material possessions, that
we have forgotten the real questions of existence, the philosophical
questions... Philosophy is still there, but we are not...
and we should return to a state of doubt, one that suggests
that perhaps the questions we currently engaged with,
are the wrong questions...

philosophy hasn't lost its way, we have lost the way...
