"FOR THE TIME BEING" by J. A. Farhat

Post by j.a.farhat »

Thank you for your time, reading this post. I appreciate this forum a lot.

My name is Jon Farhat. I was encouraged to put this information on this forum. It’s been over ten months since I was injured. My laptop hovers on a tray table above me and has been my sole input, offering a small window of... anything but reality. I am obsessively active by nature, in fact I’m rarely ever still. When I do sit still it’s usually in a cockpit where at least the ground is moving below me. This was not going according to plan. But then that would be boring.

With absolutely no academic credentials in this area, I present my Theory of Everything, “FOR THE TIME BEING”, a comprehensive monograph exploring the interplay between time, consciousness, and gravity. The paper proposes a novel perspective on time, not merely as a passive dimension, but as a conscious entity intrinsically linked to the universe's volume and the essence of consciousness. It suggests a dual-perception of time akin to depth perception in hearing and vision, facilitated by the brain's processing of time's elements identified by that spatial inner feeling we know as self-awareness or thinking from at least two simultaneous positions in time. A human sensation we all know yet refuse to agree on, a sort of ‘Dual-Chronoesthesia’.

Feeling philosophical and pondering how I got to this point, I dug out my old notes from when I worked for Joe Campbell and Robert Walter in NY nearly forty years ago. Specifically it was my copy of his last book, “The Inner Reaches of Outer Space”, which I had designed while working for his company. Over the last few months, inspired by this book and the memories of participating in publishing it, I decided to list what I thought these “Inner Reaches” could be as the idea relates to consciousness.

Consider it “SCI-PHI” for philosophical-science-fiction if you wish.

In addition to the publications on substack and researchgate, I prepared a website location for the monograph and downloads.
