If that is too awful to behold, then take a good hard look at Florida and DeSantis.
Only when I shave.

DeSantis is the Uber-Governor, the best ever. Governor of a large state is much like the president. Executive duties.

And Trump is trouncing him the polls.

Just goes to show you how much The People want Trump.
How much the people need Trump.

No, we know nothing of the kind.
Yes, actually: we do. The entire investigation turned up a giant nothing. The Durham Report has decisively shown that the entire thing was a fix. https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/ ... 222344007/

On the other hand, we have Hunter Biden's own testimony to his influence peddling in the Ukraine, and his kickbacks to somebody he calls "the Big Guy." And yet we're being told by the media to ignore what we know, and pretend we never noticed that the Russia Collusion Hoax failed.

And amazingly, some people are obediently going along.

 Quite the opposite. I admire America very much, and wish her well. I've travelled quite extensively there, and have many friends there. Far from being xenophobic toward Americans, I'm married to one. So I think you're going to need a different explanation.

Quite a lot of the Democrats are married to Americans and thus your argument for your own non-hatred of America equally applies to anyone else who is married to an American, therefore demonstrating by your own logic that Democrats don't hate America.

The only ad hominem attempt to criticise the man in order to avoid his argument is the one you committed just there.

A common error is to equate the Republican Party with conservatism.

If you want to criticize conservative values and their effects, be sure to attack conservatives and not RINOs, because using RINOs to characterize conservatives is as ignorantly common as POTUS Biden and the media characterizing the Tribal ME with monolithic values, views, and objectives. The only thing monolithic about the ME is the hatred of what they call Big Satan and Little Satan. Hatred, not the hope of democracy, is their great uniter.

Trump the outsider figured the ME out in pragmatic, functional, non-ideological, non-religious terms. A mono-ideology can’t be applied to the ME, but mutually beneficial commerce allows folks to peacefully think what they think, as long as they can peacefully trade for goods and services with one another.

And, that paradigm was working until The Democrats That Hate America took power, and then as a symbolic and not a practical gesture, Biden ignored Trump's effective methods and abolished all the good things that Trump did for America and the world, beginning with the tall stack of executive orders that he signed.

And here’s the real perversity of The Democrat Party. Biden and The Uniparty reversed Trump's positive, peaceful course for the country and the world, simply because it was Trump’s doing. Benefit or harm to the country was not even a factor in that decision.

The Democrat Party That Hates America is not driven by what’s good for the country. It is driven by what gives exclusive power to The Democrat Party That Hates America.
I just want to make sure I'm understanding you correctly. Trump's agenda was directed at helping the country, not himself, right?

What evidence do you have of that?

*

Here you go. My contemplation, for you. Draw your own conclusions about Trump. As far as I'm concerned, his resume and abilities outweigh chickshit complaints.

*

Cozy chat.

Five of us were on an adventure and towing a caravan when one of the old wheel brakes on the tow'er gave out and locked up. It happened just when we were crawling through a construction zone, inching along, and that was a good thing because the brake was so hot I could smell it, even while barely moving. If we were driving any faster the wheel would have caught fire and that wouldn’t have been good.

We spent the night in a hotel while repairs were being made on the vehicle, while the caravan sat behind a retail establishment with permission from the owner, where we unhooked it so the tow'er could get towed.

That night I read Ann Coulter’s Adios America, and learned some things I didn’t know. Then I began to pay attention to Trump for the first time. I’d heard of him, seen his picture occasionally, knew he had a TV show that I never saw because I was always working, and doing other things.

I listened to Trump and saw that he was using Coulter’s book for his platform. In other words, he had concluded the same implications as Coulter that would follow from that present time in the history of the world, because Obama had already began flooding the country by flouting laws, and this was apparent.

The root of Trump’s platform was to wall off the southern border. That’s what got him elected. He didn’t get it done. He didn’t have the political connections to make the deal he promised he could make. Congress stopped his agenda by quibbling over about $5 billion, as I recall. How much has been given to Ukraine? I've heard about $100 billion directly, plus covering the salaries and pensions of Ukraine’s public workers for the civilians which I’ve heard is even more … all to protect Ukraine’s borders. Oh, the irony.

I'm sure that all those who ridiculed Trump for wanting to protect the southern border, even those here who did that ... remember those days.

Trump didn’t have the political savvy to deal with the swamp. I don’t think he does now. But he’s a sharp guy. He learns, he adapts even at his age. He may have found a way to go for broke and get down and dirty. He’s certainly angry enough. It would be wonderful to see him get elected and lay waste to all the corruption. Is it possible? I already said what I think.

Who the hell would want to work for Trump? Those who didn’t back-stab him were attacked and put into heavy debt defending themselves, having their reputations destroyed not by law but by the biased media. Who can Trump trust? The swamp is wide and deep and it stinks. Plus, Trump's platform doesn't have that central anchor like last time. Maybe it does, but who can hear it. The Left has him tied up with distraction. There are states not even letting him run for office, the SCOTUS just overruled one. (edit: I see it was a district court judge, not the Supremes).

This link is Trump’s resume as POTUS. What in this resume is not to benefit the country and the world?
https://trumpwhitehouse.archives.gov/pe ... d-j-trump/

What I’ve noticed is that after decades of hyperbole about “the most important election of our lifetime,”, this one really is. Why? Because if Trump wins, there is one more chance, and the people feel it. That is the mood I’m detecting in the aether. But it’s just a chance. Why?

Because Biden is polling at an historic low for a president, and he has a good chance of winning the next election. All he needs to do is stay on his feet, and even then if another pandemic or similar situation can be inflated to an enormous existential crisis then he might be able to win just by napping on the couch and sitting up for camera every once in awhile, like he did for the 2020 election … and he still inspired 81 million votes (sarcasm) … imagine that, the old bird just had his 81st birthday party, probably with extra icing on the cake and a cookie. If that plot was fiction the editors outside of Bizarro World just may have rejected it.

That was forty minutes of my life (50 counting all that editing). Quid pro quo? Say Lucky, any tips for the lottery?

Hey, did you see the video of Ivanka walking into the courtroom, under supoena? (as I recall perhaps wrongly, but that's just incidental to the point) Awesome. Beautiful woman, very tall, high heels, walking like you better get out of her way, a composed look that said to the proceedings, FU!

Walker sees nothing worth responding to in most of Sculptor's postings. Those topics you raise have been covered, and murderous Hamas are the Nazis.

Yes, conservatives are far more inclusive and accepting than The Democrats.

Democrats are demonizers, like you Sculptor.

Trump appeals to a particular brand of the "American Ethos": He's an individualist, and egotist, and a grifter. The American Ethic of classic liberalism (individual rights) has been corrupted by Trump and his supporters. They conflate rudeness and hostility with strength; autocracy with individualism; and grifting with cleverness.

Walker is right about one thing: other than his horrible, self-serving Supreme Court appointments, Trump wasn't a horrible President except on the bully pulpit and until January 6. His agenda was terrible, but he was too incompetent to implement it. He sucked up to the world's worst dictators and autocrats, but there was no real harm done. He's an isolationist, so he avoided the errors of his Republican predecessors, who entangled us in foreign wars.

The American public has bought into Trump's hostility. Hence Biden's low approval ratings. Biden has been a fine President. He's too old to run again, and he's a lousy, uncharismatic candidate, but the country is humming along. The economy is solid and we aren't at war with anyone.

Trump never wanted to be anything but a reality TV star, and he's discovered that being a Presidential Candidate (or, better yet, President) is the best way to get on TV. His threats to his political opponents are scary -- and his claims that he's being prosecuted solely for political purposes is ridiculous. HIs attempts to overturn the last election were criminal and treasonous.

I wish the Democrats had a different, viable candidate. Any candidate with the political charisma of Obama or Clinton (Bill, not Hil) would trounce Trump. It would be easy to expose his egotism, stupidity, incompetence, and treason. Unfortunately, Biden is a terrible candidate (although a good President).

I wouldn't say that Trump and his supporters "hate America." However, they hate the American ideals of equality, freedom and democracy. Trump doesn't hate America -- but he couldn't care less about it. He loves only himself, and lives to see that love reflected back to him from his idiotic supporters.

Perhaps DeSantis could rehabilitate his image by waiting until Trump was in Mart-a-Lago and then building a wall around it to protect the good citizens of Florida. "We don't need that kind of vermin in Florida," he could say. "That's why I built the wall," It would be cheaper (and conducive to more good for the country) than a wall on the border with Mexico.

You may have noticed I’ve been writing a lot. So even though this is a thread about The Democrat Party That Hates America, I suppose my mention of Trump opens the door for the biased fantasies of Trump Derangement Syndrome to pour forth.

It is now time to begin preparing for the Giving of Thanks, and many guests arriving from hither and yon.

Keep trying to change history by making Trump and not Biden the cause of the county’s problems. Go on. You have my permission.

So, have at it, for awhile. It’s all been refuted already.

Ah, Mr. Hyde... where is Dr. Jekyll? Meditating in his Zen sanctuary while you run amok insanely?

You are not truly incapable of recognizing that there are truths and lies on all sides of politics, are you? You resist anything critical of obviously corrupt, lying Trump, while blaming Democrats for everything that's wrong in politics -- but surely, even from your dramatic extremist platform that circulates toxic nonsense, you know how stupid and false it actually is, right?

Don't your Mr. Hyde and Dr. Jekyll ever get together to discuss achieving balance? What would your peaceful and insightful Dr. Jekyll say in response to your Mr. Hyde's insane tirades?
