Re: Is God against modern conveniences?
I think God is against humans being happy. So, yes. I think God is probably against modern conveniences. God seems to spend most of his time doling out punishment for those who displease him and favors for those who prostrate themselves before him. No wonder the first large human settlements were authoritarian fiefdoms.

Oh, you're probably one of those smug people who always knows if they just peed or pooped and don't have to wipe, just in case, every time.popeye1945 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 06, 2023 11:35 pmThat is the essence of DUH!Iwannaplato wrote: ↑Fri Jul 21, 2023 12:01 pmHey, come on, some people need a guru to channel God's opinion about whether it's alright to pee in a toilet.

Hey, look. Stuff that comes easy for you took me a couple of years of evening courses and a guru.popeye1945 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 07, 2023 10:18 amSuper DUH!Iwannaplato wrote: ↑Mon Aug 07, 2023 6:03 amOh, you're probably one of those smug people who always knows if they just peed or pooped and don't have to wipe, just in case, every time.

Ok, perhaps I am being rude. I just believe that the topic of this thread is ridiculous, based in the first place on the opinion of a mythical creature of supernatural origin. It is a Duh proposition for any reasonable person. Anthropomorphic gods as with the three desert religions belong on a dusty shelf with the gods of the pantheon. It should not be a topic for rational debate.Iwannaplato wrote: ↑Mon Aug 07, 2023 11:38 amHey, look. Popeye, I'm talking about someone who needs help to know if they are peeing or if they are pooping. I'm making fun of the OP also, though I don't share all your beliefs, I'm not fond of gurus and for him to pontificate on modern appliances is, well, silly.popeye1945 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 07, 2023 1:40 pmOk, perhaps I am being rude. No worries. It's online.
