I think you are the one who needs to explain. Religion is hate, not love. Children just need to be loved. You are a prime example of how early brainwashing can permanently destroy the mind.attofishpi wrote: ↑Sat Oct 29, 2022 3:41 amEr? Being taught about LOVE is child abuse? Does the definition you are going by state that a miracle is a happening that defies the laws of nature to occur?Agent Smith wrote: ↑Sat Oct 29, 2022 5:48 amvegetariantaxidermy wrote: ↑Sat Oct 29, 2022 5:05 amI think you are the one who needs to explain. One doesn't need religion to teach a child about love. One does need religion to teach a child that it is always under scrutiny, he does need religion to believe he will go to hell and all the absurdities involved in the belief in creationism. I personally know people who as children were frightened to death of the psychopathic Christian god and only found relief as adults.attofishpi wrote: ↑Sat Oct 29, 2022 3:41 amEr? That's one definition that's well worn! As far as I know, that is the standard definition of a miracle, otherwise, it is just a fortunate happening in the I like I don't like categories.Agent Smith wrote: ↑Sat Oct 29, 2022 6:45 amThat's one definition that's well worn! There's got to be another definition for miracles! If not, that's rather odd, si señor/señorita?popeye1945 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 29, 2022 6:55 amAs far as I know, that is the standard definition of a miracle, otherwise, it is just a fortunate happening in the I like I don't like categories.Agent Smith wrote: ↑Sat Oct 29, 2022 6:45 amThat's one definition that's well worn! Well if a happening is within the means of natural occurrence, then it is in all probability a natural occurrence. When you can raise your great, great grandfather from his grave for a family reunion, then we have something to consider.Agent Smith wrote: ↑Sat Oct 29, 2022 5:40 pmThere's got to be another definition for miracles! I still feel miracles are defined in another way.popeye1945 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 29, 2022 9:25 pmWell if a happening is within the means of natural occurrence, then it is in all probability a natural occurrence. No, we would need to do a statistical analysis of miracles When I make what I believe is a new proposal, it's usually the case that someone's already beat me to it. Is this true of this recommendation too?popeye1945 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 30, 2022 6:41 amLike something enabling the existence of miracles?Agent Smith wrote: ↑Sun Oct 30, 2022 5:47 amI still feel miracles are defined in another way.popeye1945 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 29, 2022 9:25 pm

How can you have a statistical analysis of something unverifiable? I personally know of no claimed miracle that can stand up to scrutinyAgent Smith wrote: ↑Sun Oct 30, 2022 7:01 amNo, we would need to do a statistical analysis of miracles When I make what I believe is a new proposal, it's usually the case that someone's already beat me to it.
