The Wizard of God/OZ, is nothing but a pretentious silly human being behind a curtain inventing a convincing illusion of the great and powerful God/Oz

Who is nothing but a phantom designed to distract Dorothy ( aka you) from the terrifying truth that it was a human deluding the masses behind a mask. That is the kind of truth people don't want to hear. They prefer believing in magical powers so they can blame or whisk away their suffering through fantasy. So, rather than come face to face with their ravenous animal lust, they project a mighty Wizard as a means to deflect and deny the real truth of their animalistic nature, prefering the comfort of pretending to be something that is able to transcend and rise above their true nature where they are able to whisk themselves away to some special little place reserved exclusively just for them.This illusory realm they have called heaven.
Their God/OZ dream is an escapism from reality, and is in fact, nothing more than just an empty hallucination of their own brain.

..and it's bloody brilliant! Me and my sister used watch it every Christmas day - it generally was broadcast on that special day. (for some almighty reason)

Yes, the almighty reason was/is to keep the 'sense of you' alive and kicking in the here and immediate now. There is no movie of I (the sense of 'self' ) in the here and now in realtime every day present without an observer to be aware of it. Without an observer, everything is dead, not that it doesn't exist, it does, because only life is known not death.

The observer of the show only shows up when the actors show up at the same time.
