People who live under some regimes are not at liberty to think what they like. They are told what to think. Long may the US resist such a regime!
Is that a joke? The US is the cradle of woke hypocrisy and PC thought policing.
I'm afraid that's becoming increasingly true.
I found a new coinage that is absolutely irresistible: people now speak of "The Woking Dead."
Beautiful. And so justified, when one thinks about it.
What are the "woke" dead to?
They're dead to their nation. They just think it's a welter of injustice.
They're dead to history. They think everything in it is lies, all self-serving, all fake.
They're dead to law. They think it's bound to be tyranny, and cannot be otherwise.
They're dead to culture. They think the most important thing about a work of art is its hidden "racism."
They're dead to thought. They have eliminated critical thinking and substituted their own tiny-minded, hidebound orthodoxies.
They're dead to the family. They think baby murder is virtuous, fatherhood is unnecessary or even evil, and the State can raise all children.
They're dead to suffering. They really don't care how many "black lives" and "black neighbourhoods" are destroyed by their revolutions.
They're dead to facts, to reason, to science and to data. They think all these are just artifacts of "whiteness."
They're dead to indviduality. They think everything is a collective. Everything has an agenda. Everything only represents "something else."
They're dead to responsibility. They don't want to be responsible for anything; they want it all taken care of by government paternalism.
They're dead to freedom. They think practically all speech is hate speech.
They're dead to free air. They want everybody stabbed, masked, passported, controlled and restricted.
They're dead to the future. They call for the destruction of everything, and have no strategy for the creating of anything.
Most of all, it seems, they're dead to happiness. Yours, mine, and everybody else's. Look at them. Is there any joy in their parades and "peaceful demonstrations"? Is there anything they are grateful for at all? Is there anything they don't want to pull down, destroy, remove, cancel, deconstruct, diminish, eliminate and otherwise debase?
In a way, you have to feel sorry for them. They are miserable, sad, spiteful, small human beings. Anyone can see it. It's on their faces, in their voices and in every twitch of their debased and crabbed beings as they complain of yet another "injustice" until we are all wearied of their convulsions.
They're the Woking Dead.
I can't think of a better metaphor.
