There is no meaningful sense in which anyone is equal to anyone else. The value of western philosophy, to the extent it's accepted, lies in accepting the value of individualism. We all have a unique perspective. We all have unique knowledge. We all have unique experiences. We are not all one. We are not all on the same team. Many of us have completely opposing goals. If you recognise the value of diversity why in the holy hell would you try to insist people are equal? Even inherent value is anything but equal. Some people will grow up to be assholes. Whether or not it's their fault, they shouldn't be treated equally with non assholes. Equality in any personal sense is bullshit. Equality of opportunity is the only kind that matters.

Are you THAT dull to miss the simple fact that the great workers for equality such as Martin Luther King, Gandhi, and Nelson Mandela has somehow not noticed that people were different? These men who had that difference shoved down their throats, pierced by bullet holes ?
