Doesn't the bad need your good character more than the good?
???not sure about my character.

welcome clarification on.
All I know is your declaration of superiority to VT, a few postings back.
I don;'t like veg, but not into proclaiming i'm superior to anyone sir (I value humility - I do not like veg, but maybe she had a bad childhood/etc............whatever). The only shoes i walk are via my own, and the only mission i make are per myself as a younger man - noting my follies and wrong choices and being a fool).

I strive to be only superior to my earlier self, and only have the right to proclaim i have become superior to that of my former self (having walked in my own shoes).

I'm ok with judging others, but not into being superior too.

I do affirm the Buddist's view of old souls and young ones. i've met a old soul kid yrs ago - rare, and run across old folks with young souls - sadly not as rare.

sadly wisdom is a rare trait among mankind.

Informative, insightful, personal, non-defensive, equanimous, eyes on principle, somewhat concise … good reply, gaffo.

I thank you for the kind words.

and concur Santana rocked - and still does (recordings of old,) for those younger than you a me, who may not know of their work, but if have appreciation of good music, and access to YT, may discover them.

late 60's was "rocks" best time - Doors, Guess Who, The Who, Beatles, (Sweetwater - one i did not know about until finding on usenet in 2000), CCR, CSN & Y, Simon and Gerfunkil (ya folks, not rock so much - but their works was excellent and i think its ok to include them in "rock" catagory generally per late 60's, Fairport Convention (Sandy Denny lead vocalist - again as an ignoramous American i did not know of Sandy Denny and her Fariport Convention (Richard Thompson was the guitarist in that group and has made a name for himself over the years too BTW), until Usenet Binaries - and like with Sweetwater, another uploader offer Fariport Conv with Sandy (I've later understood than FC continued on 2-3 decades after Sandy was with them) via Usenet for me to disscover - at the same time 2000.

i also "discovered" Kate Wolf - not rock, but folk/country (70's) - via Usenet "celtic music binaries" (lol - there is nothing "celtic" about Kates work (but that newsgroup was the same one i discovered Sandy Denny from at the same time 2000 (Celt-rock - is the format for Fairport Convention/Sandy Denny so "celtic" was proper. not proper for Kate Wolf, but glad the uploader uploaded to i could hear and then pirate and appreciate after learning about her existance. such tallent - all of the them! and none had i knowledge of prior to pirates uploading their CDs for me to disscover!

of course i bought and now have several FC (the three with sandy Denny one them), and Kate Wolf's CDs. cost me 150 bucks overall - for the 8 or so CDs. (I listened to my usenet pirates for a decade or so prior to buying their works - i'm cheap, but not a thief! - i buy if i think worthy even if it take me a decade!

from that same "celtic" binary usenet newgroup, i disscover Trees - another excellent folk-rock 69/70/71 group, excellent instrumentation, the two lead guitarists are insanely good (refer to "streets of derry" song - lead singer is ok - but not of Sandy's caliber, I've not bought the 2 Tree's CD yet, Celia (lead singer has a weakish voice - not bad, just not fab either - not Kate nor Sandy) - but the guitarists are the best i've heared, so i will prob buy their archaic work. the guitarists are that good.

------of course both the CDs are on YT you you can check for yourself, "streets of derry" is the last track on the latter "on the shore" CD - 1971?

-------

again thanks for the kind words sir, and hope you enjoy Kate Wolf, Sandy Denny/Fairfort Convetion(what we did on our holiday/half bricking/lege and leaf), Tree's two CDs. all are on YT you to listen to - assuming (I make no assumptions - just know as an american i did not know of any of them prior to 2000 - even though Kate was an american in california, but not big enough to get radio airplay for me to discover at that time - 70's), you do not know of them.

Moloko - The Time is Now
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-GY9DWIfpwc

He made the wind and stars...

You're my last breath,
you're a breath of fresh air to me
I am empty
So tell me you care for me
You're the first thing
And the last thing on my mind
In your arms I feel
Sunshine
Give up yourself unto the moment
The time is now
Give up yourself unto the moment
Let's make this moment last
You may find yourself
Out on a limb for me
Could you expect it as
A part of your destiny?
I give all I have
But it's not enough
And my patience is shot
So I'm calling your bluff
Give up yourself unto the moment
The time is now
Give up yourself unto the moment
Let's make this moment last
Give up yourself unto the moment
The time is now
Give up yourself unto the moment
Let's make this moment last
And we gave it time
All eyes are on the clock
Time takes too much time
Please make…

Tricky - Excess

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u3ivr41yxGs

"Excess"

I believe in eye deceivin'
Bob 'n weavin', I can breathe in
Make a wish in flower fishing
Moving vibration, mild relation
I'm jamaican on your radio station
Got a curse in, could be worse in
You first in a hearse in
Good as dead as nothing left in
Nothing left in, some might heading
I need a head rest in, feed from a warm breast
A man making hits with my child-bearing hips
Underground like, who's it sound like
You all sound the same but you don't know my name

I believe in people lying
I believe in people dying
I believe in people trying
I believe in people crying
I believe in people balking
I believe in people talking
I believe in people breathing
I believe in people being

We all sound the same, you don't know my name
Rearrange and things don't change
Things remain, feel the strain
Stress, catch my breath
Get some rest, [?] (There'll be a new tale of he and I)
And from the mess, couldn't care less (In fact any time, every day)
Sugar cane is like a smack to my vein (Write fictional stories)
Shook fame, but I don't complain (If you want to, on the street)

I believe in different reasons
I believe in breath through seasons
I believe when snow flakes fall
I believe in buildings tall
I believe in people bombing
I believe in people warring
I believe diseases coming
I believe, that's why I'm running

Keep living
Keep living

You've gotta ask before he attacks (There'll be a new tale of he and I)
You've got the flats, dub my sacks (In fact any time, every day)
You've got the city, move out the country (Writing fictional stories)
I'm scrunching friends that are punchy (If you want to, on the street)

I believe in people falling
I believe in people warring
I believe diseases coming
I believe, that's why I'm running
I believe in people balking
I believe in people talking
I believe in people breathing
I believe in people being

Keep living
Keep living
Keep living
Keep living
Keep living
Keep living

Cut Off - Kasabian

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wKDBOB6UWKo

John was a scientist, he was hooked on LSD
Interested in mind control and how the monkey held the key
Said that all life is experiments somebody's planning for the heir
It's for the unexpected citizens who hallucinate in fear.
Sing that.

Chew the backbone,
A solar system, these clever convicts

In union station, with a package in his hand
Tied to the suspect, he chanced him where he stand
And I don't think you realize he's coming for your neck
And the sound is breaking all around
He's keeping lives in check

Chew the backbone, a solar system, these clever convicts

Making his getaway threw a punched out mirror
He blend into the crowd, hear the system scream
And all those spies that strikes your head
Are clinging to their guns
And if you smell those omens man, I think you better run.

Checkout.

Chew the backbone, a solar system, these clever convicts.

Generator - Foo Fighters

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=clu2BWn ... dio=1&t=13

Lately I'm getting better
Wish I could stay sick with you
But there's too many egos left to bruise

Call it sin, you can call it whatever
Eating deep inside of you
Well if it were me it's all I'd ever do

Steal me now and forever
I'll steal something good for you
The criminal in me is no one new

Till you find something better
When there's nothing left to use
And everything starts going down on you

[Hook]
I'm the Generator, firing whenever you quit
Yeah whatever it is, you go out and it's on
Yeah can't you hear my motored heart
You're the one that started it

Send me out on a tether
Swing it round I'll spin your noose
You let it down
I'll hang around with you, till you find someone better
When there's no one left to use, and everyone keeps going down
