I slide down on a snowy slope, trying to catch a little fir tree or a branch and thus get to a stop.
But no, I slide down to the very bottom of the high mountain and ....

I am relieved that I did not hurt myself.

The dream goes on, this is just a fragmant.

Now Mr. Freud, how do you explain my dream ?

I'm dreaming that I responded to a post that asked me to describe my most favorite/most unique/weirdest dream but keep waking up to this: Dreams

I sat in Israel's departure hall and told myself, I've been here before but I know for a fact that I've NEVER been here before ...that was a ..uhmmm, paradox?
Then I remembered back to a dream I had like 6+ months before, and realized that crazy dream was of Israel's departure hall, big hall with "arrow slits" at the far end, then elevators larger than my bedroom, great pillars with steel cladding, and a big groove at the ceiling with glass tiles.

rem one 30 yrs ago when i as a hijacker of a plane (I was a millitant of some sort) - gov agents stormed the plane and i along with my mates got machine gunned.

getting shot and killed in my dream was "interesting" at least.

I always have dreams where I am running away from something chasing me but I can't run fast. I'm running in slow motion and to scared to look behind me.

My friend told me to learn lucid dreaming and I'll be able to take control of the dream and run normally. It didn't work haha

Last night I dreamt that I was working at a prison. I commuted from home on a scooter (unpowered except for my feet). It was my first day working there, so I had to be escorted inside. I asked to be taken to HR, but I ended up at the employee snack bar. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and a Coke. They only had Pepsi. The grilled cheese arrived late and the melted cheese poured out from the sandwich like a river, falling onto my pants and shiny shoes.

I left the snack bar with my supervisor. He was planning to take me to the warehouse. Along the way we stopped at the prison call center to make some calls. My supervisor showed me how to call inmates. You pick up the phone (actual phone from the 90's) and wait for Admin to pick up. You'll be asked if you have a particular number you want to call. You don't speak, and after a moment Admin will pick a number and connect you to a random inmate. Then you are supposed to admonish the inmate for anything you could think of. I was not any good at making the calls.

Then I needed to pee, so I woke up and went to the bathroom.

interesting. I have a push button phone (the old 70's era type - refuse to own/be a slave to smartphone). dreams i think are a window into the subconsious, esp the ones you rem after waking up. i'm a belvier in dream interpretation -not a "truth" but as more akin to understand one's self. most dreams do not offer much, but some do in this regard IMO.

what do you think this one offered? - if anything? - not assuming it did, only you would know that, but would welcome your insight if you think if offered a window to your subconscious.

My favorite dreams are the ones in which I'm flying around. I've dreamed of flying over ancient ruins and around the rings of Saturn, as well as between other planets and outrunning/outmaneuvering alien beings in their spacecrafts trying to catch me (I knew in the dream that my spirit was stronger than their ability.) I've dreamed of teaching my best friend how to fly, and of flying over public parks during the day, but knowing that people couldn't see me because such things are outside of their belief systems. And sometimes I dream of being in a situation where people are being very rigid, and I start flying/dancing around them in the air, fluidly (like a dolphin easily swims through water), just to show those people more of what is possible. :)

I do remember my dreams (many of them over the years). There are also places I've only been to and experienced in dreams, that I revisit in other dreams, remembering that I've been there before. I've woken up breathless at times, as if actually living the dream.

My overall sense of all of this is that I work through stuff in my dreams, and flex and develop my abilities (whatever those may be). I think my dreams reflect my energy and intention too. I see progression and improvements in abilities over time -- what used to scare me, I rise up and challenge now. Other entities who might seem more powerful and wise than humans, just seem like other energy to be encountered. The biggest challenge for us (humans) seems to be the noise we create for ourselves, because it blinds and limits us.

Shifting and flying through different realities, trying to rearrange them at will, searching for true meaning, purpose, companionship, absolution..

Some of these are similar to mine. Have any been lucid - as in you knew full well you were in a dream and could motion yourself within its realm?

Yes, they are lucid for me at times. Sometimes I replay parts for a better outcome. :) I use my spirit/energy a lot in my dreams... to overcome whatever I'm dealing with. I've had countless end-of-world dreams throughout my entire life. I feel inspired from dreams where I speak with seemingly wise or advanced beings. In one dream, the land was being swallowed up by water, and my path upward was quickly getting narrower to where it was barely wide enough for my footsteps, as the water licked at my feet. Then I stepped into a sheltered cove surrounded by big rocks, and there... on a natural shelf built into a large crevice... was an old wise man with long hair sitting silent. His brilliant eyes were amazing. We didn't speak... just looked into each other's eyes.

I've also dreamed many times of aliens coming to Earth... often, they are trying to take over and wipe out humans, but sometimes they don't seem to have ill will, they just operate on a "higher/quieter" level. I "saw" large fleets of various colorations and formations filling the sky, all at once... fantastic! I was pointing it out to my Grandpa (who had been deceased), and he didn't seem to grasp the magnificent significance as I was hoping to share with him. :D In one dream, some tall beings came down to Earth and were quickly surrounded by crowds of people bombarding them with superficial questions. I very much wanted to communicate with the beings, but I didn't want to deal with or be part of all that noise.

I would like to hear about your similar dreams, atto.

With regards to the flying. I've had many dreams (lucid) where I am flying over my home city and landing on building tops, really good fun. Also, where i've been in computer games, shooting enemies, but fully aware its not real, even though all the senses of my psyche were immersed.
I've probably mentioned some before in another thread, but a couple that stand out is where I met my sage. One time I was in a small fishing village somewhere likely in England and I met him on a pier and he set something rather profound to me at the time, then I walked into a market in the village and there were really weird items for sale. I looked down at my bare feet and started jumping up and down while saying to myself, 'shit, this is so real!'
The other time where I saw my sage I was in a hallway and I walked to the wall and started scratching at the paint and again, I was contemplating at how real it was. I turned and saw my sage, and I apologised to him for something I had said the previous day, then the 'system' forced me to awaken.
