Mind or minds

Is the mind the same as the body? What is consciousness? Can machines have it?

And, HOW could there be OTHER Universes?
It's just a conceptual tool we use when we are dealing with uncertainty and possibility.

There is conceptual universe A. It has 10 planets in the Solar system.
There is conceptual universe B. It has 20 planets in the Solar system.
There is conceptual universe C. It has 5 planets in the Solar system.

We are certain that we don't live in universe C, but we are uncertain whether we currently live in universe A or B.
But WHERE does uncertainty lay?

Yes.

Age wrote: Sat Jan 05, 2019 11:57 am Are you talking about any ones in particular? Or, just ALL of them?

In the simplest of terms they are physical matter with space between each of them, and around each of them.
Up to you. Are all the things in the universe the same as each other?
That depends on what you are referring to when you use the word 'thing'.

Some people say there are no things other than physicality. So, when you use the word 'thing' what exactly are you referring to?

The two most basic fundamental parts of the Universe can be broken down to two parts. Understanding this, of most simplest of facts, leads to understanding how EVERY thing fits together to form one big unified picture.

Certainty and uncertainty are psychological phenomena.

I am uncertain as to the exact number of planets in the Solar system.
I am certain that there are at least 10.

And this is itself somewhat contradictory because there isn't exactly a line in space where the "solar system" ends.

Lets start with this question: do you have a notion of "self"?

You. Age. The human.

What is this question in relation to?

If what is being responded to, and especially being questioned, but is not here to see, then this makes it hard for the readers to follow this fully.

Unintentionally, but also extremely very simply and easily

Well 'you' are the one who came up with the word 'certain', in relation to some thing that was obviously NOT a certainty in the first place.

'Certainty' lays within KNOWING, and, 'uncertainty' lays withing THINKING.

Now, WHERE does KNOWING, and, THINKING lay? Hint, it is NOT necessarily the exact same place.

That only begs a question: How do you determine if you are certain or uncertain?

Yes.
So you have drawn at least one distinction.

There is The Universe.
And there is Age.

This raises at least two questions:
Is Age the same as the Universe? e.g have you split up the universe into two equal parts?
Is Age different to the Universe? e.g have you split up the universe into two unequal parts?

They are not exactly in the same place, but they are approximately in the same place - both take place in minds.

So we can say that knowing and thinking are local to brains.

Also. That's not true.

I know what I know. There are at least 10 planets in the Solar systems.
And I know what I don't know. I don't know how many planets there are in the solar systems

Different kinds of knowledge.

This is what this 'How?' question was in relation to. (The times might not be right, but this clears what this was in reference to anyway.)

LOOKING AT things from the Mind is HOW to LOOK AT the 'territory', or what IS, using other things except for the senses and the brain of the human body.

Very easily.

When, what is in question, could be in agreement with EVERY one/thing.

My conception of the mind is a Turing machine. It answers yes or no questions.

Where do the questions come from? My curiosity - and don't ask me what "curiosity" is because I don't know. It's like hunger and thirst.

A feeling.

The questions never stop. There is always another one. And another one. And another one.

And another one.

Since you have introduced the criterion of "agreement" - how would you determine if you and the universe agree?

Yes.
So you have drawn at least one distinction.

There is The Universe.
And there is Age.
To determine this, Are you using the word 'age' here, in reference to a person, a human being, an entity, a name given to what is sometimes called "time passing by", just three random letters picked to denote an author, or some one, or some thing, or some thing else?

Neither.

'Age' is just a name, with three characters, literally used as a username, for a set of differing thoughts appearing as words on a screen in front of you.
