Great story.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JfMpl3rW_uM

Premise from the story:

Woke-to-sound means hearing all the music.
Like Beethoven, hearing without ears.
Why are yanks always saying 'literally'? They obviously don't know what it means. What an annoying and obnoxious man (literally).
In this particular instance, 2 reasons jump to the fore, although yank doesn't factor into either.

One: His use of the word “literally,” serves to specify finger practice rather than mind practice.

Two: Since he’s a comic, he uses the word “literally,” to signify when he’s being serious.

Three: Re: Literal obnoxiousness
That just might be his testosterone “act” he uses to goad the straights.

No wait … he’s straight.

Advice: don't google American McDiktionaries for word meanings.

Oh, I thought you wanted speculation as to why he used the word.

I didn’t know you wanted a verbatim dictionary definition of the word for the purposes of critiquing the reference source.

So, I suppose you actually ... got a little more than you were looking for.

But I'm not going to look up the definition for you.

The Smashing Pumpkins- Thru The Eyes Of Ruby

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzZh4fdaUpk

I liked one of the u-tube comments re this song:-
I played this full blast at 3 AM....the neighbors called the police on me for disturbing the peace....the officer tazed the neighbor and charged him for false reporting!

Wrap me up in always
And drag me in with maybes, yeah
Your innocence is treasure, your innocence is death
Your innocence is all I have
Breathing underwater
And living under glass
And if you spin your love around
The secrets of your dreams
You may find your love is gone
And is not quite what it seemed
To appear to disappear
Beneath all your darkest fears
I believe in never
I believe in all the way
But belief is not to notice, belief is just some faith
And faith can't help you to escape
And with this ring I wed thee true
And with this ring I wed thee now
And with this ring I play so dead
But no one's asking for the truth, so let me tell you
If you spin your love around
The secrets of your dreams
You may find your love is gone
And is not quite what it seemed
To appear to disappear
Beneath all your darkest fears
To the revelations of fresh faced youth
No one will come to save you
So speak your peace in the murmurs drawn
But youth is wasted on the young
Your strength is my weakness, your weakness my hate
My love for you just can't explain
Why we're forever frozen, forever beautiful
Forever lost inside ourselves
The night has come to hold us young
The night has come to hold us young
The night has come to hold us young
The night has come to hold us young
The night has come to hold us young
The night has come to hold us young

Head Your Mind (...A Dreamtime Sampler)
This is a compilation album of various artist - classified as 'electronic rock' - i picked it up in an alternative music shop in the early 90s, just because I liked the CD cover - and the names of the artists and their tracks...and it was only $10.

I'm listening to LequalsSDsquared right now while doing painting for my sisters Christmas present (a copy of Bradley Theodore's art) which she asked me to do earlier in the year, but I said I was too busy! Arn't I nasty!

Please do have a listen, it's one of my favourite ..mmm..what can I listen to right now CDs. :D

Pointer Sisters - Automatic (top of the pops 1984)

I still love this and loved the guy doing "robot dance" - got me into it, and I ended doing Robot to the entire school assembly with my best mate.

It could go in the Embarrassing thread, but at the end everyone swamped me with congratulations, even the miserable dinner ladies complimented me. My poor friend was left adrift as I looked over at him, while kids being kids kept telling me how much better at it I was. I was quite introvert in primary school and he was the opposite, in the lead up to us doing it, he would show everyone, whereas I preferred not to. In secondary school he became Ferris Bueller, so damn popular it was sickening.

Screaming Trees - Nearly Lost You

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PE5f561Y1x4

Did you hear the distant cry
Calling me back to my sin
Like the one you knew before
Calling me back once again
I nearly, I nearly lost you there
And it's taken us somewhere
I nearly lost you there
Let's try to sleep now
Drag me far enough to know
I'm blind every mile that you burn
There's a rider that's fallen and
It's clear there's no time to return
I nearly, I nearly lost you there
And it's taken us somewhere
I nearly lost you there
Well let's try to sleep now
Did you hear the distant lie
Calling me back to my sin
Like the one you knew before
Calling me back once again
I nearly, I nearly lost you there
And it's taken us somewhere
I nearly lost you there
Well let's try to sleep now
I nearly lost you there
I nearly lost you
I nearly lost you there
I nearly lost you there
I nearly lost you there
Oh yeah, oh yeah, yeah oh
Nearly lost you there

Smashing Pumpkins - Mayonaise

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MElfYleGIVU

PS. I hope u people have decent quality headphones, or a sub-woofer and decent speakers in this thread area!! Otherwise yer may as well be pissing up wind.

Fool enough to almost be it
Cool enough to not quite see it
Doomed
Pick your pockets full of sorrow
Run away with me tomorrow
June
Try, ease the pain
Somehow we'll feel the same
Well, no one knows
Where our secrets go
I send a heart to all my dearies
When your life is so, so dreary
Dream
I'm rumored to the straight and narrow
While the harlots of my perils
Scream
And I fail
But when I can, I will
Try to understand
That when I can, I will
Mother weep the years I'm missing
All our time can't be given
Back
Shut my mouth and strike the demons
Cursed you and your reasons
Out of hand and out of season
Out of love and out of feeling
So bad
When I can, I will
Words defy the plan
When I can, I will
Fool enough to almost be it
Cool enough to not quite see it
Old enough to always feel this
Always old, I'll always feel this
No more promise no more sorrow
No longer will I follow
Can anybody hear me
I just want to be me
When I can, I will
Try to understand
That when I can, I will

PS. If you've got a decent album - me - Slinky Factor 3 - play that in the background rather than the babble being played on the vid.

When remixing the original with machines fails to transcend the tight boundaries of the known (melody), then you hear an endless loop of introduction, stuck on hello.

A proper blend of gloating and bitterness.
