The child is being trained to eat little poopies.
Or the observer is being manipulated into shock and disgust.

Smart marketing with so many sensationalists around :)

Who said it has anything to do with gender?

I want to wear makeup and skirts. Can I?
Who's stopping you?

Ooooh! Please teach me how to empathise WHILE disliking somebody.
vegetariantaxidermy wrote: Sat Dec 01, 2018 1:23 pm Have you run out of black people to throw out of windows?
Yes. That's why I am picking on bigots on internet forums.
Why not? Why would you have to like someone to have empathy for them? I'm not saying I want anything horrible to happen to them.

Then you are necessarily defining empathy in a dualistic fashion.

You use it as both a FEELING or HAVING one, and as a DEED towards somebody.

I don't have to HAVE a feel to do good deeds.

It means you are confused. Is empathy something you HAVE (feeling, experience) or something you DO (action towards another human)?

No, dear. "I am more empathetic than you" were your words (or thereabout) - not mine.

Does that mean you "FEEL more for the plight of other people" or you "DO more good deeds to alleviate other people's plight" ?

I don't have to FEEL empathy to recognise when your rights (freedom of choice/self-determinism) are being violated and uphold them.

There are no self-evident arguments, Small Poopy.

You are just ignorant.
It's about titillating entertainment, for a very specific audience.

Wake up and smell the poopy.

Yes. Wake up!

You are the one watching it (two videos no less!). You are the one engaging with it. You are the one outraged and debating it.
You are the eyeballs watching the adverts on YouTube in between the circus!

Who do you think the 'audience' is?

Your words. You are the one who seems to want a 'who is the most virtuous?' competition.
As a matter of fact you have inadvertently grasped exactly what is wrong with your ilk. No natural empathy--only what you perceive to be the behaviour of a good person. A person with natural empathy has nothing to prove, and knows exactly how to behave.

It's topical, you Idiot Poopy.

My point was stated.
There is more going on than freedom of expression.
