What should a community/nation/state (government) provide for citizens?
Re: What should a community/nation/state (government) provide for citizens?
Should it try to provide an unchanging climate?
The latest UN report declares that the world is doomed.
Surprised?
Because of climate change.
Give all your pennies to the UN, the big wishing well, and maybe the climate won’t change, and the world will keep turning.
Spare no expense! (unless you hate the world)

seems the proper place to put this
Saturday before last I took the 12 year old to the courthouse for early voting.
As always: I voted for people and propositions I think, over the long haul, will reduce the size, scope, power, and intrusiveness of government and/or against people and propositions I think, over the long haul, would expand the size, scope, power, and intrusiveness of government.
That is: I voted for 'less' rather than 'more' (of everything).

Haven't dug into any of it yet, but it seems Congress is now deadlocked (again), and the Republicans did slightly better than the Democrats on the state level. Couple that with House Dems self-hobbling as they (continue to) try to 'get Trump' and we've got a largely impotent federal gov and mostly business as usual state by state.
Works for me.

The Democrats got what they wished for.
President Trump’s view is The Philosophy of No Mistakes.
This is an objective view likely to disrupt models of Democrat-projected outcomes, given their track record.

"The Democrats got what they wished for."
Yep.
Let's see if they can 'use' what they were given responsibly, for 'The People', or if they just go with the program and piss all their lent power away on tiltin' at the Trump windmill.

tit for tat will be fun...
I think the new attorney general will prosecute hillary
and for every new house investigation, a new senate investigation of house members, as well as IRS audits (thanks for the example obama)...

I hope they fixate upon the shrinking middle class, and propose solutions for it, over impeachment proceedings.
as least until Mueller concludes is findings.
than - given his findings, they/I can then determine if impeachment is the right course for the defense of our Republic.
