There is no single set of policies regarded as conservative because the meaning of conservatism depends on what is considered traditional in a given place and time.
Thus conservatives from different parts of the world—each upholding their respective traditions—may disagree on a wide range of issues.

I believe when discussing the above two terms, we should determine and differentiate the core from the fringe elements. I certainly do not agree with the theistic elements that is prevalent among the 'conservatives'.Liberalism is a political and moral philosophy based on liberty and equality.[1][2][3] Liberals espouse a wide array of views depending on their understanding of these principles, but they generally support civil rights, democracy, secularism, gender equality, racial equality, internationalism, freedom of speech, freedom of the press and freedom of religion.

From what I have read of Conservatives in USA, the Republicans [supposedly conservatives] are for the following;
civil rights, democracy, secularism, gender equality [not too much], racial equality, internationalism, freedom of speech, freedom of the press and freedom of religion.
However the Democrats [Left] who are supposedly liberals do not support the encompassing 'freedom of speech' which I believe should carry the heaviest weightage for human values. Note those who critiqued Islam are terms racists and homophobes. There is Anifa using violence in preventing people from giving speeches they don't like.
As I see it, at present the Democrats are more emotional* than being rational and they do not encourage and accept debates.
Many Democrats are accusing opponents of being bigots, racism, Islamophobia out of contexts and with anger & violence.
