I am new. I am new to the whole philosophy thing. I have studied psychology and during the early days of that I touched upon empricism and rationalism but I'm afraid everything else is totally new to me, so I hope you can be kind and forgive my ignorance. So, any way, hello all!

150 years ago the disciplines would not have been at all clearly separated. Not that philosophy can claim exclusive parentage of psychology, of course: Wundt started in medicine.
