Deleted Thread?

Post by Gary Childress »

Did a thread I started regarding an article on Einstein possibly being "racist" get removed by the mods? It seems to have disappeared. Did I do something wrong in posting it? I thought it was a pretty civil discussion for the most part. :?

I bet someone must have gotten bored with it.

I had a thread too, that was deleted, it was about Trump. I'd like to know why, if I broke any rules, please let me know so I won't be repeating it.

Yeah, I remembered that one.
And, I just spent some time composing a reply to it.

Imagine my wandering bafflement when I went a posting.
It isn't hard to do.

Gosh darn dangit.
Oh well.
I enjoyed the clarification of writing while localizing on Trump and Denmark.
Ohh, they can’t take that away, from me ...not yet.

In all honesty, I've come to realize that a lot of various discussion boards have been deleting anti-Trump/Trump-discrediting threads lately...
Not just my threads, but anyone who posts something that Trump does not like.

Normally I would say that's ridiculous, but in the case of Trump it almost seems plausible. He does tweet a lot....

Does Trump have time to do this? Or more likely, someone on his behalf?

More likely, someone on his behalf.
I believe it to be organized by threatening various website owners by lawsuits etc. if they don't do as told (to delete anti-Trump threads).

Then, take a lesson in objectivity and perspective.

Namely: rather than be anti-Trump, or anti-anything, just present the facts.

As I recall, your thread didn’t have a fact in it.
Just various opinions floating in a sea of shifting feelings.

Such sophomoricness is hardly worthy of philosophy.

Could be the cause of the disappearance.

You're quite welcome, and since you're receptive, here's some more to chew on.

Since it's neutral towards Trump, we'll see if it gets deleted, to test your conspiracy theory.

*

Trump is merely saying that the existence of Denmark is only relevant to the United States, to the extent that Denmark makes itself worthwhile to the United States, either in a positive or negative way.

For one party to be worthwhile to another party is the basis of all relationships: organic, inorganic, personal, and international.

N. Korea made itself worthwhile to the U.S. in a negative way.
It posed itself as a conscious threat to the lives of U.S. allies.

The U.S. has made itself worthwhile to Denmark in a positive way.
It has protected Denmark from the big bear.

In what way does Denmark make itself worthwhile to the U.S.?
Answer:

Given the evidence of what he has done so far and his deal-making mindset, Trump may have the vision to form a new world-scale alliance to replace NATO, based on positive worth to the United States. He’s a global capitalist more than an ideological politician from the cold war era.

The implications of this are certainly debatable.

Oh yeah, Trump has pretty much ended the Korean conflict (war) from the 1950s with a flourish of broad strokes. Finally. What remains is the details. Not much mention of that other than nibbles of sharp little teeth about ankle high.

No, but thank you.

Now that I come to think of it, I probably shouldn't discuss politics...

Sorry, I'm very much sorry for these accusations.

I can see the other thread where I posted anti-Trump comments:
viewtopic.php?f=11&t=24425&start=15

- was not deleted. If this forum is deleting anti-trump comments/threads, of course they would have deleted the other thread or at least my comments in the thread, too.

They didn't, so I owe you an apology.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

I think it more likely that someone was (genuinely, for once) offended by comments that pointed out ''Progressive'' hypocrisy.
That's the only reason I can think of, since the dreariest god-bothering threads are left alone to drone on for years sometimes.
