Is this proof that priests, preachers and imams are all perpetual liars?

Religion is man’s interpretation of the elephant, which is an allegory for reality, and no man can encompass the whole elephant in his reach. Or maybe it's metaphor.Hobbes' Choice wrote: ↑Fri Oct 06, 2017 2:19 pmThis idiot crawls out from under his rock to make me point for me. There was one man who could touch the tusks, so this became his view.
Swords are much like tusks, and so attached was he to the limitations of his reach, that he named his.
There was another man who could touch the heart of the elephant.
Another touched the mind.
Some can only touch the ass of the elephant, and they too behave accordingly.
Without intent to take lightly the privilege of posting, this light video illustrates the principle of the preceding observation, and apologies if it misses the focus of your sagacity. You’ve seen it before, but perhaps with all that has been learned in the meantime, effectively transforming you, it has new meaning. Like re-reading a book when you’re another person, further down the stream.
You just gotta learn to laugh when considering the empirical effects of the world being within you.

This link speaks more about religious ideologies but what is said also applies to political and other ideologies.Dubious wrote: ↑Fri Oct 06, 2017 1:14 amWhat's interesting about this quote is that atheists would never go to any such extreme with what theists believe, not in the Western sphere anyways proving how toxic theism really is.Greatest I am wrote: ↑Fri Oct 06, 2017 12:38 amThey often do not and I was indicating that they would be the only ones to explain their lack of common sense and logic.
They seem dead set on living by what martin Luther said.
“Faith must trample under foot all reason, sense, and understanding.”
“Reason is a whore, the greatest enemy that faith has.”

In that sense, all ideologies that prevent free thought and flexible thinking are toxic.

I agree, but there are a few ideologies and even religions that try for truth.
I chose Gnostic Christianity for that reason. Christianity hate the notion of truth and that is why they decimated them and tried to burn all of the more truthful scriptures and myths.

Not confused, but I wanted to give you the benefit of the doubt by suggesting you may have a medical issue rather than an educational one.

Hey, anybody can come down with a medical problem, both dumb and smart people.
Re: Is this proof that priests, preachers and imams are all perpetual liars?
isn't it right to prove all things, and test all things for yourself. I don't see any other way.
Blind trust is a fool's game. and it is neither good for the truster, nor the trusted.
take out your God measuring stick, and see for yourself the very least God should be, and toward all, the believer, the non believer, the fool, and anyone else. criminals, professionals etc.
thence forward compare God to the known reality, the one humans experience on their own.
I'd try with all my might to see all important things for myself first.
I ain't putting on my bible goggles, and looking at other people and the whole environment of existence through those pages or any other books unless I deem them worthy.
the judgment of self is all important.
the idea of God, is to see what would an ideal being of omniscient authority be. it's an exercise of the heart and mind, to hypothesize it.
the next thing I would do is test my ideals as compared to other ideals, and ultimately to reality.
are my ideals real? are they worthy? or is there no way of them.
finally I'd ask what is real, and what is fallacy. and who am i? and whom are all these other people?
I must say that video is revealing something many religious people do, blind obedience.
I wonder if they even know themselves, much less a God.

You sound like a good candidate for Gnosticism. Nice to see.
If they do not seek and remain idol worshipers, they will not do the work of finding what we call God.
