deMause is fascinating and considered a big name in child abuse research in sociology, outside of that niche he is viewed as a crank and loon. His stunning discovery is that incest taboo is far from being universal as some believe.Walker wrote: ↑Tue Sep 26, 2017 11:15 amThat's an interesting article that roots charity in self-interest.Seleucus wrote: ↑Mon Sep 25, 2017 4:10 am “Heads and Tails”: Money as a Poison Center http://psychohistory.com/articles/heads ... on-center/
What did you say? And what did you mean by it?
I'm not much into psychology...I think of it as Pseudoscience. I just believe in telling children the truth as best they can understand. Besides...they got a good chuckle out of it and they haven't cussed yet....even though their auntie AS likes to indulge on occasion.Seleucus wrote: ↑Mon Sep 25, 2017 4:10 amI was impressed by the views of Lloyd deMause and his conception of the "poison container". It seems to me that something like poison containering is an explanation for swearing.artisticsolution wrote: ↑Sun Sep 24, 2017 4:00 pmMy nieces age 6 and 7 asked,
"Auntie AS, why do people cuss?"
"Cuz it's fun."
