Poetry here.
Re: Poetry here.
YES, thanks. It comes partly from a real event - a true story - reality - maybe this is what gives it a bit of kick

Re: Poetry here.
ASHES TO LACES
Along the streets
i feel
the scanners, cameras
they peel
me and my liberty
baseball bat
to technology
sets me free
for another ten
paces
crouch down
do up my
laces
looking back i see them
following me
they want whats in my
head
they'll scan me,
slit my throat and im
dead
they'll have what was mine
ripped warm
from my mind
now turned to cold
ill rot back down
to the core
and the system will
take me back,
back to the
ore
ready to repeat
ill be back on
my feet
walking the paces
one day
to crouch down
do up my laces.

They are all in the same boat, but... "where is the boat going? No one seems to have the faintest idea; nor, for that matter, do they see much point in even raising the question."
p.162 Sane Society - Erich Fromm
Where are we going
On Spaceship Earth
Are we orbiting the Sun
Or is the Sun orbiting us
We have no real way of knowing
Other than what those at NASA may say
But what about society itself
Is that moving in a loose sort of way
Can it be driven and shaped by powerful men
Or is it like holding onto - and trying to control - a runaway horse with demented mind

The Daily Mail claims it has always stood up for privacy, but wrote: “The truth is that in this fast-changing world, it seems increasingly perverse to deny the authorities power to eavesdrop on our electronic communications for the purpose of protecting the public.”

Yes unfortunately privacy is becoming something that is a thing of the past, and people are so accepting of it, putting their entire lives on social media using their real names instead of an alias.Pluto wrote:The Daily Mail claims it has always stood up for privacy, but wrote: “The truth is that in this fast-changing world, it seems increasingly perverse to deny the authorities power to eavesdrop on our electronic communications for the purpose of protecting the public.”

I used to hang out on a cyberpunk forum, and soon realised i was not much of a cyberpunk, since i argued of the positives of the extra surveillance. There have been times where ive copped a bashing from thugs while in the city and these thugs would have been caught if we had better surveillance back then.

If everyone were an artist
They'd be no artists
Everyone is an artist
So there are no people

Nice makes me consider that the lack of artistic consideration by the masses renders them borderline zombies, even though art is within them.Pluto wrote:If everyone were an artist

FRIEND TODAY (cyberpunk)
In this bar
i sit, i sip
i am an outsider here
I have no scar
camouflaged i am
sitting as they
sitting and sipping
avoiding the fray
Ive some load to move
a chip emmbedded
last runs hack
i was the jack
wheres my fence
the smoke is dense
i feel intense
switch to the implant
release the endorphins
heart rate recoils
now im back
another sip
warm smooth whiskey
double me, his_key
rolls down
its charm
as a fool
takes a hold,
he grabs my arm
switch blade
flicks out
pressed to his throat
his identity revealed
was his only hope
sit down friend
is what i say
you are mine
but only today.

In a bar in Santa Cruz
Did I sit
Escaping the woman
That I loved
A local guy makes conversation
And says Fuck You
Fuck me?
He says that as a good friend
He can say to me Fuck You
Though I have just met the p****
Walking the American street
One can picture oneself as though in a movie
Living here would require a leaving of oneself
And taking on the program called America
Look at the well built street
And the manicured gardens too
What car would I drive
For here a choice is never without a frame
I meet a guy who makes sauce
Why don't you sell as does Paul Newman say I
Because I'm not Paul Newman - the girls laugh
Happy in the thought that all is well and free
Just living life, going about my business
Without any effort or acknowledgement
For that which is all around

Skill and talent
Are absent in your work
Why do you do it
A made thing closed
Is just that
Keeping it open and unfinished
Makes it preempt time and stay neutral
