How does science work? And what's all this about quantum mechanics?

Scientific logic. / by Socratus /
===…
Part one: macro – cosmic scientific logic.
a)
14 billion years ago the billions and billions of galaxies were
compressed into a “hot singular point”. It means that the four
forces of nature (electromagnetic, strong, weak and gravity) also
were compressed into one “singular point”- into one “singular force”.
b)
During the earliest moments following big bang explosion –
- roughly the first 10^-43 seconds – the temperature and density
of the universe had cooled to a balmy 10^15 degrees Celsius
and the four forces of nature went their separate ways.

Part two: micro – quantum scientific logic.

Scientists try to unify four fundamental forces of nature:
a)
In 1979 the Nobel Prize was awarded to physicists who
merged electromagnetic and the weak nuclear forces in a single
framework: electroweak theory.
“The existence of the electroweak interactions was experimentally
established in two stages, the first being the discovery of neutral
currents in neutrino scattering by the Gargamelle collaboration in 1973,
and the second in 1983 by the UA1 and the UA2 collaborations that
involved the discovery of the W and Z gauge bosons in
proton–antiproton collisions at the converted Super Proton Synchrotron.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electroweak_interaction
b)
Physicists believe that at very high energies, the electroweak and
the strong forces would behave as one.
That unification is known as the search for a “grand unified theory”
c)
Physicists believe that at very – very high energies (!) all four
fundamental forces of nature would behave as one. That project
is known as the search for a “theory of everything”.
============…
My conclusion.
At the earth’s conditions we cannot reach the cosmic conditions.
It means we cannot merge all four fundamental forces of nature.
It means we don’t need more powerful LHC (useless machine)
It means the CERN project can be taken in archives.

“But I don’t want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
"Oh, you can’t help that," said the Cat:
"we’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad."
"How do you know I’m mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn’t have come here.”

You have promised some logic, but immediately your 1.a paragraph (BB) refers, I am afraid, from every point of view totally madness :( perhaps You forgot quotation marks - "logic"...

The experiments are done to provide empirical data and insight for the theoretical work, which is largely mathematical in nature. You seem to be thinking that the theory itself would be literally achieving a particular empirical state where all four forces are unified. That's not the idea.

a) At first scientists compressed all masses and forces
into a “hot singular point”.
b) Then they separated all masses and forces in their ways.
c) Today they want compressed all forces into one single force.
d) Remember: in the Alice’s Wonderland the people in the
cosmology, gravity and particle programs don’t ask question
“Where did the masses and forces (for singularity, big bang
and existence) come from?”

Scientific “ logic” as a logic.

Another example of scientific “logic” as logic of science:
What big bang creates black hole takes away . . . (into singular point?)

Theorists of the Universe, who knows what happened at 10 ^-43 second after the "BB", could perhaps indicate why just (for example) electrons and protons arose or why just four forces appeared or even why four dimensions were created only...

"Cerveny" in Wonderland.

If you don’t agree then change the name on Socratus.
I agree.

:)
I hope I am only a restrained mad. I am not brave enough daring to leave the (intuitive) logic. I am aware that the (not fiery) madness brings the freedom, of course - it is the reason enjoying it

Logic has nothing to do with it.

There are very good inductive reasons to think that it shall.

At the earth’s conditions we cannot reach the cosmic conditions.
It means we cannot merge all four fundamental forces of nature.
It means we don’t need more powerful LHC (useless machine)
It means the CERN project can be taken in archives.
Or, you can use it as the archives, as well as cold storage for heritage seeds. Plus a bomb shelter. And maybe a really nifty mushroom farm.
But only after the scientists are done doing whatever it is you so disapprove of.

I try to guess:
Who will be the first director of the LHC museum?

Logic ?

Every particle is accompanied by an antiparticle.
Collectively, antiparticles are known as antimatter.
So, the Universe is a mixture of matter and antimatter.
When a particle encounters an antiparticle, mutual
annihilation results, with the release of all the locked-up energy.
It means, that billions and billions particles-antiparticles wouldn’t
allow to gather all masses of Universe into big-bang’s singular point.
There is only one possibility: or antiparticles don’t exist or
big-bang’s singular point never was created.
