Bernie Sanders Third Democratic Debate: "I'm taking marijuana out of the Controlled Substance Act so it is not a federal crime... so the police become part of the community instead of an oppressive force."

Read Rand (a couple of articles), Nozicks ASU, Rawls ATOJ and Zinns USA history to get a baseline for US politics ideology understanding. Things have happended since of course, but not too much, it seems. supposing that Will and Bob are US citizens. Same arguments as back then.

My opinion? I have one. And if you don't like that, I can give you another. But socialism is definitely in the mix. As well as libertarianism.

As I say up-thread...

I encourage you, as I would any one, to pursue your utopia with great vigor...devote the entirety of yourself to it...make it happen.

Understand, however, other folks will work equally hard to see their utopias come to pass, and many of those rainbows aren't compatible with yours.

Also: some folks want nuthin' to do with any utopias and these folks simply will not comply with you (or any one).

Rough road for an idealist...good luck

Yes, I'm a U.S. citizen, but only until the AEP takes over a state and files for secession. And I guarantee you that socialism is not in the mix.

I think Texas is the only state in the United States that is actually legally able to secede from America.

Who, besides you...I mean an actual REAL person, believes in the American Energy Party?

Because, I mean, you have been spouting this shit for years upon this forum. NO ONE INDIVIDUAL here believes in anything that is associated with AEP.

If you have been using this forum as a recruiting base - it hasn't worked. If anything your move has backfired.

What I want you to do immediately is to ignore EVERYTHING I have stated within this post because you are seriously psychotic.

Do not directly answer my questions nor should you acknowledge my assertion that the AEP will NEVER expand beyond you in your mother's basement because IT SHOULDN'T. It's a seriously flawed philosophy that cannot work, will not work, & rightfully so SHOULD NEVER exist in reality beyond your mind.

CONGRATULATIONS.

Well, I'll tell you, anybody who might believe in the AEP knows how to spell "secede."

Thank you for pointing-out that significant spelling error, more importantly, THANK YOU for proving me right in the fact that you are ignoring the more important questions and observations that I made in refrence to your psychotic behavior towards yourself and your beliefs in a political party that does not exist outside the domain of your own skull. GET HELP.

As a friend I am asking that you get help immediately or you will find yourself in more trouble than you can handle for yourself in 2016.

All the best.

One thing, from a guy who due to his backgrounds and upbringing is completely dr Jerkyll and Mr Hyde in this - I am totally 50% Will and 50% Bob. Not in the sense that I am "somewhere in between", but I really feel strongly for the pros and cons about the "Rawlsian and Nozikian" standpoints.

And I would really like to see some good discussions on this, without Bobs and Wills. Or rather, Bobs and Wills who were something like Socrates and Phaedros, guys who really take the problem seriously and tries to work this out together. What happends in this thread happends in threads all over the place, on forums for political dialogues, sports, flashback and what not. Someone with some cheek musclepower gets anxious for the discussions going in the wrong direction of the social class they are born in and goes in with the sledge hammer to yell for their cause. And succeeds in doing so, he(yes, he) will find an antagonist from the other side and kill the discussions with pages up and pages down of the normal arguments and counter arguments and anything fruitful dies.

This is symtomatic not just for politics but for just like anything where people have different opinions. And that is why I REALLY believe that philosophy is needed! Hopefully, in places where things matter, in governments, in the steering groups for higher management in big companies, in the "steering groups for faculties" or what the fk you call the steering groups for university research, fruitful discussions are really held. But I wish that people in their spare time, attending forums would try to be a little more adult in their discussions. If not something else - it's so much more fun!

Ansik. Are you suggesting that Bob should try and say something intelligent and then support it with a coherent argument? Wow!

So...what I take from a former post on the previous page is that a fruitful discussion is your opinion.

A knowledgeable opinion is your opinion.

You are so weak that you want to limit other opinions.

The actual title of this very specific thread is, The Case For Socialism. You - YOU added NOTHING of substance to the content of this thread. Nothing.

I've read & re-read your posts...ALL your posts. IMHO you are not knowledgeable. Your opinions are not fruitful. You are not philosophical.

Here's an idea...instead of attempting to attack me & other PhilosophyNow Forum members, what if you just actually submitted a thoughtful post in relation to the thread itself?

...oh, PLUS you are not entertaining nor creative in your postings. Something to think about...

Hey, Wiltrack, just because you support a fucking Communist, don't take it out on me. You should at least be happy that I'm here to correct your stupid spelling errors.

No...No. My post above does not refer to you. My post was directed to the member who attacked you, I, and indirectly all other members here at the PhilosophyNow Forums.
