Everyone with a clear eye knows what art is when they see it. Art does something to you, and when beauty becomes apparent, you know what art is. It can be qualified in many ways, but essentially art is beautiful. One's degree of sophistication, experience, and unblocked clarity define what is beautiful, and the unblocked clarity is a commonality all people can share in defining art.
