I can't tell you how much I enjoyed that read.

I wanted to copy & paste part of that here upon this thread but I was unable to.

THANK YOU for adding your link to this thread.

Did you write that piece?

Yes, thankyou, and you are welcome.

I especially like how you use big lettering, many would say it childish, but I find it considerate for those with poor eyesight. As someone who is partially colorblind I was somewhat irked by the forum denying entry based upon a security question involving color detection.

I appreciate the attention.

More importantly I respect and appreciate both of you as veteran members to this, the greatest philosophy forum on the planet; the PhilosophyNow Forums.

I can't walk backwards.

I look back at my life and I see the happiest childhood into young adulthood.

Then drugs. A lot of drugs.

Followed by a level of depression that I cannot even imagine now.

But then I also found Ouspensky.

The writings of Ouspensky, what that did to me, at that time in my life, is worth any price that this world could throw at me.

Then the work portion of my life took over, where like most of us we concentrate upon our careers.

That's over. I am long past the ability to reach the meaning I found through the writings of Ouspensky.

I am empty. I am not complaining. But I am unable to plumb the fiber of my being now.

Somewhere along my journey I lost the "I" part of my consciousness.

I just am. An outward shell.

Where, out here, when death is close, do I find, The Meaning of Life?

...and to the other member - THAT is an excellent read.

Could you start a separate thread with that piece of writing alone as the context.

That is an excellent expression of experience & writing.

Yeah, yeah I know what you mean...but there is a difference between reading an excellent post such as yours and then the experiencing of that philosophy.

I am big into living a discipline of philosophy. Taking your consciousness to a new place based upon something as a philosophy.

Welcome to the forum by the way.

Hi there. Well, Part 1 basically tells you the meaning and purpose of Life, and this it is not so much a discipline, but an understanding. (I post again for new comers https://docs.google.com/document/d/1E9i ... edit?pli=1)

The other parts are basically an instruction book (a discipline, a discipline of philosophy) for Mankind to abide by, on how to be healthy, and prosperity, so that we may one day live to see the Glory of our Salvation. They are currently floating around on the internet until an arbitrary time until I feel it is the proper time to release them.

Have you seen this movie before? Monty Python and the Meaning of Life

Which book of Ouspensky did you read, by the way? The website said he never really was satisfied with his work.

Arising UK, when you have been taking philosophy of religion classes for the past, 6, years, then they are helping humanity. Yes they are to do with Idealism. Though I am not Hindu, and never would be it is an interesting religion. Really everything I stand against, but it is your choice. With, 330, million deities in India; divine has countless faces.

I am not totally colorblind but the security question was exceptionally difficult for me to answer. As far as color harmony, my avatar makes good use of it and provides powerful energy. Your avatar's color harmony is not as vivid or unified.
