Incidentally they are not axioms they are just philosophical maxims, that said though I think you would find it hard to argue with most of them; and yet people do, it's a funny old world..?

I remember that each time I went out of a maths or law exam (which could be several hours without a break) I felt sort of ... high spirited and ready to take off.

Aye know what you mean. That said though I think a lot of people put practically no effort into thought, and that is perhaps why we are in this modern conundrum..?

I am not entirely sure even the strongest SSRIs are going to help us where we are now.

Just want to point out that "you cannot argue with a fact" is belied by every philosophical discussion that has ever been had on the internet.

Logic:
1.1 It is impossible that the same thing be and not be at the same time and in the same respect

Let me just course this up tight quick - it's metaphysics, not logic. Every "thing" is a set of attributes and boundary conditions. The attributes of place in space and time are exclusive. Two physical things cannot occupy the same space at the same time unless and in-so-far-as they describe aspects of something more encompassing. If they do share that attribute but are not different parts of a larger whole, they are not different things - a difference that makes no difference is no difference.

This speaks to the limited capacity of the human mind. It's absolutely possible to prove too much. It's also clearly possible to prove too much in an individual set of circumstances - beyond what is necessary, a waste of resources.
